The reason he attacked Yomikawa isn’t because she was in his way. From the beginning, Kakine’s eyes only had Accelerator. That slight hesitation, the slight hesitation in front of Yomikawa that he will step off the path of Evil, was the reason he attacked Yomikawa.

To him, that hesitation, is the obstacle.

If Accelerator has given up Evil, then just what has he himself lost to?

Because of that, Kakine Teitoku raged.

“That’s impossible! How could it be that easy?! This is our world. This is the end of darkness and despair!! You babble on with fancy words, but at the end of the end, you rely on something like this. This is what you called ascetics?!”

A shattering speech. Lead by rage and ill will, the words that are illogical smashed against Accelerator’s body like blast waves.

“In the end you are the same as me, unable to protect anybody. After this many more will die, killed by a mongrel like me. Isn’t that right, Accelerator!! Didn’t you also slaughter your way to where you are now!!”

Kakine shakily stood upright with his body stained by blood and grime.

But this isn’t for fighting against Accelerator. For him who has a good understanding of ill will, Kakine’s ill will is directed elsewhere.

And that’s towards Yomikawa lying on the ground.

“S,stop.”

“I can’t hear you.”

Cracking sounds are made, but no-one’s sure what is happening. Kakine isn’t touching Yomikawa, but Yomikawa’s body is being stepped on by something unseen. Her body is trembling and the red-black patch, upon the pressure, has started to spread once more.

“Stop!!”

“I can’t fucking hear you!!”

Accelerator’s voice is being drowned out by Kakine’s roar.

“Don’t count on me to stop, you idiot!! What do you expect talking to solve, you villain? You have got to be joking – that’s not how we do things!”

Kakine used his ability and increased the pressure on Yomikawa.

This time it’s not just her side, even Yomikawa’s mouth started to have sticky crimson liquid leaking out.

“If you want to stop someone, then kill him. If you don’t like something, then destroy it. That’s the Evil! Being saved is unnecessary!! Being smiled upon and forgiven is unnecessary!! A piece of shit bastard like you doesn’t deserve to be forgiven! Come on! Let me see the ‘Evil’ that you, who have only spouted fancy words have!!”

Those bits in bold have always bothered me.

Its kind of like he's saying "How dare you do try and do something I failed at!"

^Yes I noticed those too. I think Kakine is the same to Accelerator as Aurelous(not sure if I'm spelling his name right) is to Touma. They show what the character would be like if they had failed saving their important person, Index for Touma and Last Order for Accelerator.

Also Kakine wanted to negotiate wih Aliester, and people in the dark side sometimes have hostages being held against them to make them do stuff.

Given Kamachi's tendency to get all poetic on us...

Kakine might have intended to be what Accelerator would have been if he had failed to save Last Order- just like how Aureolus is supposedly what Kamijou would have become if he had failed to save Index.

Yeah, it's that. He's a "violent" guy who's constantly aiming for the head of one of the MC, yet, at the same time he really cares for a character of the same side as the said MC (and he's actually aware of it). As you might have already deduced, he ended up getting "BADLY hurt" while trying to protect her. Well, it's exactly the type of anti-hero Kenju described, but instead of chickens he'll have face the Big Bad of the series.

...Right... Okay... But the reason why I used Gajeel and Levy from Fairy Tails is because... Hmmm... I can't reveal spoilers here, so lets just say they started out something like Kakine and Uiharu lol If those two that you've mentioned have that kind of 'history' as well then nvm lol.

Oh in addition, Gajeel and Levy bugged alot of people because of that 'history' so I'm aimming for the same thing with Kakine and Uiharu heh.

But I don't think they really need to release him for that. After all, with such a broken power as dark matter, one can easily mass-produce his brain ... and the bodies that will be operated by them, without necessarily freeing the "original" => mass-produced super fridge clones

Worst just shares some of Mugino's looks. They do look pretty similiar. However, Worst is supposed to be the negative side of the Misaka network or something. I wouldn't say she's using anyones mindset because she is somewhat unique.

Still, isn't Worst supposed to just be a Mikoto at the age of Touma? What kind of growth spurt is that? That's a big difference in just a few years of "age" difference.
