I just saw ep6 which introduces Llyr & Octavia.
So how was their dub voices you ask? Surprisingly, very good. Llyr dub voice was very good & sound nice sounds just like Mamiko Noto if she ever spoke perfect english. By the way, Llyr in the dub calls her people the Selkie. Looks like the dubbers were doing their research on what her people were based on. Octavia voice was good...No, Excellent! My God it was perfect. Not only did the dubbers gave her British Accent (Heck Yes to all British accent lovers) but damm did she sound badass. I currently seeing a trend that all of the Empire characters in the dub have British accents. I can't wait to see the next episode and hear the dub voices of Rathy, The Mayor of London & especially, Lidia. PS: ANN Shelf Life reviews Tears To Tiara.

Although I might not have picked a British accent as the different accent, I like the idea that the Empire characters have a different accent from the Gael tribe. Same reason why I liked the idea that Arawn sounded slightly different. I'm very curious about how Taliesin sounds. When he shows up, will you post a little about his dub?

Maybe that's how it suppose to be pronounce. Anyway i just watch the 7th episode & it was weird. For some reason, the dubbers have no idea that Rathy is girl so they just call him a boy & gave Rathy's dub voice a boyish voice. Also Creon (The mayor of London) dub voice sound like his japanese counterpart. I also heard Lidia's voice even it was one line only & it sounds British. I can't wait to hear her talk next episode.

If Octavia sounds British, then Lidia should as well, in my opinion. They're from similar regions of the Empire.

On another note, for those interested TTT Gaiden theme, "Tears to Tiara ~The Essence~" was released on album a month ago or so. That makes me wonder if they'll ever animate it (I hope not since the story was really a letdown, though I wouldn't mind a proper sequel).

Octavia's voice actress was really good. I think Rathy and Morgan were voiced by the same person here in this English dubs. Oh well its an Animax dubs so I'm expecting that kind of thing. |

I bet its because she uses Boku to refer to herself so the dub probably assumes she's a boy sadly. I dont think her gender is ever given in the anime but calling her an outright boy just doesnt seem right.

lol very funny.
Anyway, I recently watch ep 9 & God was it good. Lidia dub actress was amazing too. Not only did she sound evil & psychotic, her evil laugh was amazing. Spoiler for Very suggestive dialogue:
Uhh.... Merry Christmas & goodbye.(runs away & hides!)
