Oh great. The last thing I want is Arakune at S-tier. Playing against him is the fine define of "no-fun-match".
Platinum is C-tier, hmm? Not like it bothers me much, seeing how I still main Rachel currently.

From what I heard, C-tier doesn't mean they are bad. It's just they are not as good as those above. Which mean the game is pretty balance right now compare to BBCS.
Aside from S-tier Arakune....

Wasn't Arakune god-tier in CT? Bet all the Arakune mains are howling with joy at this.
Anyway, I'd say the more characters we have in the center of the list (A or B) the more balanced the game is. 14 out of 18 is pretty damn good I'd think. Shame that Bang got nerfed hard though. D=

Nice to my main Tsubaki not bottom tier. She needed some changes from BBCS, I like what I saw from the few vids I saw earlier today. Now with Ragna nerfed. Hopefully the Tsubaki and Ragna matchup shouldn't be a straight up nightmare for Tsubaki.

strangely, i don't see any evidence of Arakune being s-tier. every video i've seen (and i've seen all the uploaded ones thus far) show that his curse loop is now only like 4 or 5k. plus everyone's combos have changed a lot, so no one is really being used to potential. except for maybe Jin, because he's incredibly similar to his CS self. basically, jin's gotten a lot of buffs and not too many nerfs, so he should be pretty high on the list.
they bumped up /\'s damage a bit, so i'm happy. standard sword combo does 2.2, everyone can be jdd j2dd djdd dj2dd-ed for extra damage. i can't wait for the console patch.

Some Vids from Dustloop:

Anyway, I'm not buying Mu being C tier if anything she looks more like the low A or high B, but I guess that stuff is a bit early to talk about. Regardless she seems very strong right now a long with Lambda, Noel and Tsubaki. More vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRwffB-nOEE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCYDr6LsRu8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sla9hXqo3ZY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUUhJlu2_oo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq8UdEtN9lo Rejoice Rachel fans her legs are no longer broken! Bang on the other .... lol Platinum is kinda "eh?" at moment though. |

Also, I disagree that Platinum is "eh?" at the moment after seeing Shadow play as Platinum rather effectively. |

well, if stunedge said to jump off a bridge, would you do it? haha. jk.
but yeah, it seems that this version is a bit more well rounded than the previous two. no one really knows how to play platinum. Mu does look a bit meh to me. the delay between putting out the stein and having it shoot seems to have increased a bit. Makoto is looking pretty ridiculous right now though. i'm surprised they didn't change her 0 frame startup super..

It's shaping good so far. Well, I've not been seeing Arakune did anything that's worth a S-tier, aside from 100% curse combo. Everyone looks like they still have a chance against each other, and Rachel/Platinum look good there :3.
I'm not at the level where I should take tier list seriously, though. Btw, in my opinion, announcer got a nerf, once again. [edit] Best Platinum I've seen up until now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5asnPWWPdXo

It definitely is too early to take a tier list seriously but it is interesting to see how it changes and who is spot on. For instance Mago (2dgod) said Fei Long was top tier a month after Super Street Fighter came out, pretty much all of SRK laughed at him.. 6 months later and he's cemented himself as the best SSFIV player in Japan and they're not laughing anymore.
Actually looking at the list by Mago and Nemo.. if you change maybe 3-4 positions their pretty much spot on for Super's lifetime. Also damn @ Tsubaki in that YCYDr6LsRu8 vid, Dat 5d charge. Now who do I play? Noel, Lamda or Tsubaki? Hope my arcade gets BBCS2 fairly soon.. I know they'll get 6 setups of AE for SFIV like 2 days after release but I hope BBCS2 isn't that far behind. |

BBCS2 won't be coming to arcades outside of Japan in the foreseeable future, the Nesica X Live service it uses requires a high-speed fiber-optic internet connection. The balance changes will be coming to the console version around the same time as Platinum (Spring... or Autumn if you live in the southern hemisphere).
