At the moment they accomplished rescuing Aqua Current from Seiryu and developing plan on how to enter Roppongi Midtown complex.

I'm confused by the whole need of being rescued, given that we saw her out and about just fine when Haru first hit level 2. Is it more that she couldn't level past level 3 without getting knocked back down in level?

Aqua Current was knocked to Level 1 and kicked out of the UNF, true. But.

When she helped out Haruyuki, she only accessed the normal duelling fields for PvP.

When she levels herself back to 4 and above, and enters the UNF, she will spawn where she was curbstomped.

Why it works like that, I don't know, but it probably is a fault of the old NN's disconnection method maybe.

Spoilers for Vol14 are out in Chinese. RKL made a thread for this, so it should be somewhat accurate. I'm a bit tired from work right now, so I'm not as hyped about this as I probably should be.

Spoiler for Vol14 highlights:

-Level Drain is only a 'debuff' in UAF, point loss being permanent after you log out. And since it's a debuff, Citron Call can cancel it. Lime Bell did this TWICE. In short, Aqua Current was safely rescued after much effort. Blood Leopard leveled up to Lvl8 after battle.

-Metatron was controlled by a taming item, and after KYH and others broke it after a long battle Metatron revealed the one at the tower was only a shadow with 50% of its true power, and left without further battles. Metatron is revealed to be a female angel/AI, and more flags raised for Haru

-Black Vise and Argon Array sneak attacked KYH and co, after Metatron is gone. Scarlet Rain is captured, and supposedly will be used as the material for Ver2 of the 'Armour of Disaster'. Haru chased after Vise at his top speed, augmented by IS. Metatron gave Haru the item 'Metatron Wings' to help with this. Volume ended here.

-Oh, and White Cosmos is confirmed to be the ARS President/leader. The reason why Chrome Falcon couldn't remember the look of the 3rd person with Argon Array and Black Vise at Blossom's execution was because of WC's special skill, distorting light around her as camouflage.
-The tower Metatron is in are in White Legion, Oscillatory Universe's territory. Highly likely White Legion is in with the ARS, along with WC.

Chinese translations of Vol14 will start in a month. It'll be done by a team of TLers this time as well.

It was a level drain but it drains the accumulated burst points first. That is why BP did not level up so she can use the vast amount of accumulated burst point as a buffer when the time came to face Seiryu in order to rescue AC.
The level drain drains the accumulated burst points till it becomes zero and then lowers the level as it puts it's victim into stun at which point the level drain motion ends. From this point on Seiryu can constantly shoot level drain at it's victim that is in stun repeating the process.

It's wasn't a shadow it was the real thing. It's like other stage bosses that has three levels. The invisible mode is level one in which you need to neutralize the laser for it to transform into level two beast mode in which after taking a certain amount of beating it transforms into the final angel mode. The angel mode did not fight with the attack team since they were able to destroy the taming item although the angel replied she will fight with them if they wanted to.
BL blurps out to SR that when they went into the Contrary Cathedral dungeon to challenge the Metatron with AQ they had not encounter the angel mode which I believe does not appear when fought in the hell setting.

Hence reversing time is able to restore the lost points.)

(3) Archangel (Metatron): (Posesses) a very strong laser attack named 《Trisagion》. (Note: Reference to the Orthodox Church's three hymns of God, 《Trinity Hymn》.) Metatron's body is exposed/revealed if using 《Trisagion》after being damaged. Her body is made of endless numbers of white rings linked together, has four wings made by a complex weave of tapestries. The lower half is made of 'ten tubes of hands and feet', and on her head is a spherical taming item - a crown of platinum-silver alloy. She can make herself invisible. After being stunned from the fight, it was discovered that her body is half that of an Archangel; from her head down, she has a female-type body with magnificent armour and clothing. As she was forced to fight by the taming item, she rendered assistance to Haruyuki and co. (after the item was removed.)

(4) Magenta Scissors: Spread the ISS kit around with the goal of Creating an Accelerated World where Burst Linkers are not uninstalled for having neither power nor special characteristics. Using Avocado Avoider's special skill (able to hide another Burst Linker in an empty space inside his/her mouth), MS brought Linkers infected by the Kit near to Midtown Tower to lie in wait for an ambush, with the intent of entering a joint strike when Lotus and co. launch their attack on Metatron and rains hell.

So, MS is really on the "good" side. Her goal reminds me of SB and CF's goal of establishing a helper legion to prevent uninstallation. Although, her method involves mind rape via ISS Kit. How does the ISS Kit actually helps achieve her goals exactly? It seems counterproductive. Even if it succeeded in preventing the uninstallation of BB, what's the point when every BB linker was mind raped?

I wonder if someone can answer a question for me... in the final episode, in the montage of characters during the ending, they show some characters that haven't been introduced yet. I've been kinda trying to follow the LN's, so I think one of them is Utai/Ardor Maiden, in the miko outfit. But there is another black-haired girl riding a bus with a basket of fruit on her lap. Who is she? I thought she might be Rin, but in the OVA's, it appears as if Rin was the green linker girl that passed by Haru, Fuuko, and Chiyu... and that person had brown hair. So who is the fruit basket girl in ep 24?

From what I understand from that spoiler is that MS's goal is not to prevent the un-installation itself, but rather give (new) players a more equal chance against same level avatars.
Some avatar's have some rather broken abilities in early levels, like Silver Crow's Aviation or Lime Bell's Citron Call. If their avatar wasn't born with an equally great ability, their chances of reaching lv.2 is slim. If everyone uses IS attacks with the ISS-kit, battles against avatars with special characteristics would be much more even.
That's what MS is trying to achieve I believe.

It's a little late to bring this up, but I was rereading the awesome summaries by Flere821 and I was thinking about the snarking about how Kirito and co. accomplished was Accel World characters had so much trouble achieving such as flight, but isn't that a bit unfair? Accel World uses neurological impulses and to use use Incarnate moves, users have to go though their brain which would be considerably more difficult than using their soul as it is the case for STL users. Besides, isn't the STL system more incarnate oriented?

That's one possible explanation...and it makes sense o_o the theoretical differences in output would explain why AW's Incarnation is weaker compared to SAO...

Rin is the exception to the rule, and there's also huge hints in the form of BB's Main Visualiser, Saffron Blossom remaining in the Disaster Armour, and even in the anime, when Sky Raker's appearance with Haruyuki in Ep24 may possibly be an example of a shadow of the Armament's owner's soul remaining inside.
