Including Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi in this category is an interesting decision since this is a romantic comedy focusing on three couples. Is it because the couples are already established that you put the show here?

I've put off writing this list as I first need to find out the schedule of the shows first before I decide how much to commit. But now that I have this information, it's time to get this show on the road.
I'll be counting it on the day after the episode airing, assuming the subs come on time and not 2-3 days later... And depending on how enthusiastic I am about the show, I could also put of watching it for one or two days. So with that said I have... Friday 1) Persona 4: Very high anticipation and very high likelihood of finishing, will be the very first thing I get after work. Top priority to watch on Friday. I've only played Persona P3P so I can't claim to be the biggest fan, but it definitely gave me more confidence in it's story over Guilty Crown's wildcard. 2) Guilty Crown: High anticipation but only recently and very much a wildcard. Depending on how the story goes this could also be a Top priority or much lower. Uncertain chance of finishing, currently High priority. The promo video won me over in a heart beat, but I'm wary of the set up as these kinds of story trend the fine line between epicosity and trainwreck... Plus it doesn't help that it airs 1 week later. 3) Haganai: High anticipation, very high likelihood of finishing, could be put off to a later day to watch if necessary as I've seen the LN. Average priority. Between mysterious Persona and serious Guilty Crown, the lighthearted nature of Haganai would act as a counter-balance. Saturday 1) Shana 3: Very high anticipation and very high likelihood of finishing, will be the very first thing I wake up in the morning for. Top priority to watch on Saturday. The very first series that started me down on my Anime life 5 years ago, come hell or high water I'm going to finish this. 2) IdolM@ster: Splash over from previous season. Average likelihood of finishing, a low priority... Brought over to fill in on an empty Friday airing. Originally I didn't even plan on watching it, but everybody else is so... 3) Penguin: Splash over from previous season. Average likelihood of finishing, a low priority... Brought over to fill in on an empty Friday airing. Originally I didn't even plan on watching it, but everybody else is so... Sunday 1) Working: Very high anticipation and very high likelihood of finishing, will be the very first thing I wake up in the morning for. Top priority to watch on Sunday. One of my favorite SOL and 4koma adaptation, the first season left me with a smile on my face after every episode so this is a shoe-in. 2- Horizon: High but cautious anticipation and very much a wildcard. Depending on how the story goes this could also be a Top priority or much lower. Uncertain chance of finishing. Currently an average priority. Lets face it, that's a VERY THICK book to adapt into a 1 cour story and if people thought Shana and Index had complex terminologies well this one would rock your world. 3- C^3: Average and Cautious anticipation and very much a wildcard. Very Uncertain chance of finishing. Currently a low priority. Willing to give it a chance as Silver Link is the studio behind it... At the very least you know it'll be pretty. It could really roll either way, just like Baka-Test. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Fate/Zero: Low Anticipation. Not a big fan of the franchise, only watching it because everyone else will be. Average chance of finishing, low priority. Push back to later days to fill up the spots. Ben-To: Low Anticipation. The Light Novel seem to be rather popular, it could be the next big thing, but until it proves itself, I'll remain causal about it. Average chance of finishing, low priority. Push back to later days to fill up the spots. Mashiro-iro Symphony: Low Anticipation. My first VN adaptation in a very long time, good thing it's on an empty date. Not a lot of faith in it though, so low priority as well as uncertain chance of finishing.

noitaminA is not a guy, it's a programming block. Guilty Crown is produced by Aniplex, animated by Production I.G, directed by Araki Testrou (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead), and written by Yoshino Hiroyuki (Mai Hime, Macross F, Code Geass) and Okouchi Ichiro (Code Geass, Planetes, Turn A Gundam). It simply airs on the noitaminA timeslot.

Fall is really exciting.. It is easily one of the best season in a very long time
Guilty Crown: An original production of the season. The promotion videos alone look amazing. A superb character design by redjuice from supercell and supercell is doing the music as well. The art style caught my attention when i first glance on the upcoming season thread. Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon: It's a must watch for me since i am a die hard Code Geass fan and it's Sunrise production. I felt weird looking at the face of the main character. The seiyuu cast also helped in making this show more convincing especially Jun Fukuyama. Fate/Zero: Sequel and related to the previous animation F/SN. Music made by Yuki Kajiura. Fate/Zero is definitely a promising show which wouldn't disappoint the fans. Mirai Nikki: I have completed the manga long before it is announced to be serialized. The manga is a great enjoyment and i could not stop reading once i started. The main female character in Mirai Nikki is simply awesome. Working: The continuation of season 1 which is a very enjoyable piece of life anime. A show which softens our emotion after having so much of epic anime in a week. There are many shows which i left out not because of it not being good but mainly because the show we having in fall is simply too amazing. |

Definitely fate/zero, made by ufotable and yuki kaijura? Epic win. I did fall in love with fs/n as well. I only found out about Guilty Crown a few days ago, but the PV looks amazing. I just hope there isn't too much fanservice...I'm going to pick up Mirai Nikki due to the amount of hype the manga has gotten, and finally I'm going to watch Shakugan no Shana, just to finish the series.

I have already added Shinryaku?! Ika Musume, Shakugan no Shana III ~Final~, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon to my Plan To Watch list.
Does watching Fate/Zero require any knowledge to other Fate/ media? I have just watched the Fate/stay Night anime series, and I'm interested to see the staff of Fate/Zero work their magic.

Yay fall, the season where I pick up too many shows with not enough time to watch all of them!
Will watch Fate 0 Ika 2 Working 2 Bakuman 2 Last Exile 2 Shana 3 Persona 4 Mirai Nikki Guilty Crown Probably will watch C^3 Un-go Ben-to Phi-brain May or may not watch Horizon Boku Tomodachi Tamayura Kimi to Boku Chihayafuru Awesome, first time I ever have 9 (or more than 5 for that matter) listed in my Will Watch list. My plan to start too many series is proceeding brilliantly.

This is my first time at this thread, so I'm keeping my posting as concise and brief as possible.
To tell you all the truth in expectation for the upcoming fall 2011 anime season, this would be my first time since five years ago for an anime season that I'm picking to watch more than 5 shows. This is mostly due that some of the shounen mainstream series that I watch right now are in filler mode; you know which are they, so I won't be saying them. Ok, enough of this ramble. Here are my picks. The obvious and expected ones
Joining the bandwagon craze
My free choices
Under revision
The ones under revision banner are listed so, because I'm still uncertain over wanting to pick more than seven shows since that's my original limit of picks for this fall season. In addition, more than half of the shows I listed here as my favorite picks to watch not only do they last two cours, but also they'll be starting broadcasting until the second week of October. Hence, it will be a long but anticipated wait for some of the shows I've been expecting for. |
