actually, in japan
first years would be 15-16
second years - 16-17
third years - 17-18

I would more go with above post of 16/17 but her appearance does look like 14/15 if anything. I though Azusa last year was in her first year of middle school and then her second one starts this season.

Season 1, episode 2 reveals the age of the main four girls to be 15. That's at the start of the school year, so they're all probably 16 once they move to year two and 17 by the start of season 2 (third year).

Since Azusa is a year below them, that would make her 16.
