That. Was. Awesome.
Well for me. I loved that episode. Despite not having any action really, it was super cool. I'm really loving the villains in this arc, since they seem truly evil to me. Looks like we know what Cobra wants with Kinana now. Sad Levy didn't get put in a team, but I'm sure she'll get her moment later. Romeo, Kinana, Mira, Lisanna, and Cana are still at the guild. I can't express how amazing it'll be to see Juvia paired up with Gajeel again. |

Yet another end of the world arc.
Oracion Seis up to their old "let's destroy the world" tricks. Find the clock and take it back Fairy Tail mission was predictable. So they're destroying churches now, interesting. Kinana's behavior was really weird. She's acting like a prophet of sorts. Even Zentopians are having issues with Oracion Seis. Those guys seem to be messing up everyone plans. Will Neville, finally a name that could help Fairy Tail's quest. They sure divided into interesting pairs and groups. Hope it'll help.

Gatman as in Batman? Kubrick as in Stanley Kubrick? Some kind of subtle homage?
Anyway, looks like Erigor is at least controlled. I was beginning to think that OS was being controlled or manipulated as well, but that might not be the case. At the least, they are getting power from somewhere, and that might have altered them some. Didn't think they'd try to end the world without some influence exerting their effect on them. Wonder why Lucy doesn't summon that cross spirit to get info on Neville, since he was a Stellar Spirit mage? Gildarts hitting on Laki? Heh. Interesting teamups; looks like they are breaking the obvious molds just to be different. With the two old guys, Romeo, and Team Shadow Gear left at the guild, does that mean they will be attacked, too? Anyway, looks like we finally get back to some action next ep. |

She's been growing more suspicious every passing episode and we even saw that her hometown is currently a ghost town on episode 141. I'm just surprised that whatever/whoever Michelle really is hasn't came out yet.

Ok so here's the problem, the magical council dudes, what's with sending magical-less mooks to defend places against powerful magical mages?
Where's the logic in that, even with numbers they can't do squat against the magic, I would think that would be an obvious thing. I guess we could put it down to I dunno, careless-ness from the studio but putting some mages in with the council dudes would have given the idea that they have powers in dealing with mages even if they end up being weak. Careful world building is something I like and I feel this is dropping the ball but whatever, it's not like it;s the end of the world......oh wait Well at least we got some different team ups even if Natsu and Lucy are together again but I've got no real probs with that. Just kinda wish Mira-chan was involved, personally would love to see a Mira/Erza team

Episode 142: Battle Discord
That was a really hilarious episode. So many jokes and things here and there. And i think like episode 130, it went well with the action. The scene at the church with Gajeel and Juvia was great, but i know i may not sleep well after it. This arc keeps getting creepier and creepier. |

I must admit, 'Mest' has redeemed himself in my eyes. Despite him still being hung up on Wendy apparently (just a taaad~ creepy but manageable), he just seems cooler being a drinking brawler.
The battles didn't excite me this time around - I'll wait until later for those. As for the jokes...they are great. I laugh/snorted/facepalmed at Gildartz ripping one though.

Anyway, I found this episode fairly good. Natsu and Elfman aren't used to working together, so their lack of teamwork caused problems. I almost thought they argued too much and got in each other's way too much, though. However, very nice inclusion of Mest, and now I can begin to see how he he'll fit into the manga. Gildartz and Laki were amusing, heh. Looking forward to more action next ep! |

Mest turned into a drunk. Didn't expect that from him.
Natsu's team vs one of the Oracion Seis. Exceed team vs Sammy. At least they were getting along. Using Aquarius backfired, but that tends to happen a lot in her case. Poor Gajeel stuck with lovey-dovey Juvia... ^^" Wendy's team vs Grimm Reaper. That was partly a pretty LOL fight.

Getting tired of Jackpot...Aquarius doesn't help make me feel any better either. Bixlow&Wendy vs Eligor was much more fun, cow storm summoned by a bald guy with memory issues! I wonder if he will be of any use if they break his scythe though, since he seems to need it for his storm calling.
Everything else is progressing pretty well imo, looking forward to the rest of it. |
