spontaneous rebooting (lock up for few seconds..unlocks for a second..then restarts)

happens when trying to use java (whether on a site..or on azureus)...also happens when windows video preview kicks in when viewing a folder with contents set to thumbnailed viewing mode....youtube videos still work though....i can access the hard drives if it's for program files or music or images.....tried error-checking on all 3 hard drives as well as 2 partitions and no errors found..tried prime95 but no errors found....probably a hardware thing cuz i tried a fresh install of windows and it still happens...also a few times now, upon spontaneously rebooting, 75% of the way through booting up..i see a blue screen with some words on it for like 1/10th of a second (too fast for me to read it, doesn't look like BSOD layout)..and then it automatically goes back to the beginning and starts booting up again from the beginning

also does that if i go into "settings" for googletalk or trying to play a video

Hm...

okay... so java and playing video makes it freeze up. YouTube is flash videos. Are all the drivers for your computer up to date?
