The Misfit Games 03 - Swords of Power

I do like that this game had some limitations to it, and that Izayoi isn't the kind of person to take all the credit for himself. He's got a good sense of morality. ...but I'm still finding him to be a little too perfect. Again, I'm also keeping in mind that I shouldn't have tunnel vision and take in the series as a whole, simply curious as to where all this is going to go.

I wanted to hear more about Rabbit's backstory, but then, everyone's backstories kind of got cut off in the middle of the scene. That flashback was enough to imply some things about Asuka's, and looked fairly modern, and also fairly expensive. Though her personality had suggested her background up to now. Also, like that the cliffhanger from the first episode finally paid off, with No Name getting a steady source of water back.

That water tree is really amazing.
The onsen atmosphere was nice too.
Watching that cat float around was kinda LOL
Izayoi is really insensitive sometimes.
It was pretty relaxed until they got a demonic visit.
Watching them fight the tiger was interesting.

such a shame bakatsuki isn't translating the LN....

Hmm... So Kurousagi told Asuka that she can actually use her power to control other powers? Do I have that right?

I was really hoping to learn more of Kurousagi's background, too. Needed more bathtime discussion!

So... plotlines. The vampire loli has just lost her community. Presumably that isn't a significant problem for someone as powerful as her, but she'll probably still make a nuisance of herself. Jin is acting as a figurehead to rally the communities against the demon lords, which is bound to bring down unwanted attention upon the No Names. You has been injured (I am most upset about that). And a former member of the No Names, who was once considered a demon lord, is now a slave being offered as a prize in a gift game at Thousand Eyes. Did I miss anything?

This episode was great, I was worried that Asuka might fall behind in ability since there didn't seem to be much direction she could take her power, especially if the enemy could resist the effect. Happy to see more of Izayoi proving he isn't just all power too.

Nice job by Asuka of further developing her gift and taking out Galdo. Izayoi came up with a nice plan. Seems like Jin knew the vampire, wonder if that's the one that took out their community.

so water back in land so time for bath time with bunny, voice command, & animal talker while head phone guy scare the mooks.

give mooks want to stop working for evil tiger & want to be free so head phone understand give also little jin some bros talk to give some confidence.

now battle with bad tiger give being powered-up by vampire blood give animal girl got hurt but voice command goes with sword to command the vines to tie & slay the tiger vampire.

now that over cat land people are free all good now bit "hmm" to come.

I'm curious about few things in here.
1. They still didn't explain why Kurousagi hair could change color. Is that some kind power adjustment... blue for speed, pink for power?
2. Why they wait 3 years for summoning players from alternate world? And Kurousagi really scared if they turning down her proposal for joining gift game. My assumption this summoning ritual really hard or she need very rare item that only certain community had it.

Or maybe they were searching for the proper candidates to be summoned, its not like No name would choose some random person from each world just like that =_=;

Huh? I don't think Fores Garo is her community. From the way other guys said, Galdo was the leader of the community not the loli vampire.

I got the complete opposite. While translations can always make statements like this iffy, one of the guys that Izayoi confronted said, when referring to Galdo, "He takes advantage of the fact that he works for a demon lord to do whatever he wants." So far as we know, the only sort of organization that exists in the Little Garden is the community, so if he's working for her, he must be a member of her community. She may have let him claim the title of leader, but it's obvious she was the power behind things.

I was interested in the world setting, but to be honest i really don't like Izayoi, he's not intelligent he's just arrogant for me, i really don't get why he needs to makes Jin as a symbol or a leader for this war against the Demon Lords, just as Jin said he's basically endangering everyone in his community by declaring war against the Demon Lords which is just stupid and reckless because he still doesn't know the Demon Lord's full power...but since he has seen Shiroyasha's face to face i guess he knows he just doesn't care about the kids, he just wants to have some fun in this little "game". It would be much better if Izayoi's the one that proclaims himself as the leader since he's strong and it was his responsibility in the first place anyway, but he just has to force the obviously powerless Jin into the role, while he just stays behind, after all it's just a game for him and it'd be stupid if he risked his life for a game.

And not just Izayoi, the character's reaction was rather terrible, how come when the mooks from Galdo community(forget it's name) learnt that Galdo has killed his hostages their first reaction was guilt? They just discovered that their beloveds has been killed right? They should be sad, shocked, depressed not stay silent for 3 second, and not to mention their reaction was just "Damn", seriously? I mean i know you're just an unimportant mook but come on...

You and Black Rabbit was the only thing i like in this show, so maybe i'll keep watching if Izayoi won't be the main character for all episodes

that's because those thugs WERE THE ONES DOING THE KIDNAPPING of other communities kids & women, of course under the orders of GALDO and with the threat that their own beloved will be killed.

so they're not really innocent, however hard their situation might have been.

You should rewatch the scene. Right now their community has absolutely no chance of accomplishing their goals let alone surviving a possible fight with Demon Lords to reclaim their honor and name, but if they can get support from other communities they might have a chance. Jin realized this too from their conversation.

Also how does Jin not have responsibility for this, it was him and Black Rabbit that decided to summon people from other worlds to possibly join their community and help them.

. Anyway, the show continues to be entertaining and the characters have all proven to be likeable so I'll stick with it till the end.
