I don't remember seeing the "Japanese artist only" rule, but they do frown upon artists uploading their own stuff. Because by drawing it yourself, you won't be objective towards the quality.

Danbooru is hardly at fault here. They DO have a a stricter policy on quality. Unfortunately, most of the artists in the Nanoha section of pixiv would rather draw NxF, and Vivio. I know from personal experience, since I eventually stopped to check pixiv for Nanoha fanarts and only goes for Touhou, Original, Vocaloid and Idolmaster. Because it gets depressing to check pixiv every days for quality Hayate, Wolkenritters, Forwards, Numbers and Hucks fanarts, and have nothing of that.

Nah, plenty of other stuff gets put up on pixiv. Make sure you have the adult filter turned off as well

A "stricter policy on quality" as an excuse falls flat when the "quality" is purely subjective on their part. As I said before, really good artworks don't get approved because they don't like the content of said artworks--like a really good Yuuno/Nanoha image doesn't get approved but a mediocre Nanoha/Fate image does. And we all know exactly why that is. There's a reason why, when a post is marked for deletion, they have a notice that "that other images have worse quality isn't a reason to appeal".

I'm just lamenting over the overwhelming bias of the place.

Then, of course, there's the fact that the place is drowning in Touhou imagery but that's a different story entirely.

Major example in that A's was all about Hayate. Nanoha almost got demoted to side-character in that season if it wasn't for her intro fight with Vita and her major 'hold the line' moment against Reinforce.

Te season somehow manage to find space for some NanoFate moments so i guess Nanoha got a good covering, not the amount she deserves as the title character but good nontheless.

Also I have no problem with the Touhou overload. If anything one can compliment them, it is them being more open-minded, every tones (from WAFF to serious or GRIMDARK) and every pairing are welcome in this fandom.

I don't mind Touhou despite not being a fan, it's just that the Touhou overload makes it difficult to find other images at times. They outnumber everything else pretty much 15 to 1.

Nanoha has always been "almost demoted to secondary character". If you look at it, Nanoha has always been about empowers others; and her scenes reflect that.

This is also why i have lot of problem with Fate- Fate doesn't empower other characters when she appears, she steals their significance.

That must also be why i am not really bothered by Hayate's "shafting".

I actually think she has a decent amount of screentime, though that screentime may not always have been best used (something of a recurrent problem in strikerS).

Well, Fate do empowers some people. Signum, Erio, Caro and even Teana are good examples.
