Introductions! Introductions!

Usually, an introduction post is one of the first posts you'll ever make on a forum. It is, without a doubt, a post that gives other members an idea of what kind of person you are and gives them an inkling of how you'll interact with them.

As such, you must be careful not to be discourteous, annoying, rude or repetitive! If you can forgive me for breaking the second of those said virtues, I'm sure I won't be "THAT" much of a bother.

Hey everyone.

Hey, I'm one of the new guys now. Always a little awkward to post a first message, but you gotta start somewhere ^_^'. Anyways, I'm a pretty open, friendly person and I enjoy talking with others. I really enjoy various anime series, especially Elfen Lied. I haven't seen that many anime sagas, but I can definitely say that Elfen Lied is my favorite. I love to watch anime simply because of what it is. I consider it to the culmination of all aspects of art and largely disagree with those who view it as childish or unvaluable. The stories they tell easily compare to that of poetry or literature; all things I also enjoy.
But back to this topic. As I said, I finished Elfen Lied recently and, wow. I was floored by the whole thing. Its a beautifully crafted story, with highly creative artwork and, most importantly, lovable characters. Some of which I found myself strongly attached to.
Well, that's about all I can think of for an introduction. Looking forward to chatting in the forum.
~Thanks

Greetings,

After reading these boards for some time looking for suggestions, I decided to go ahead and join. I am generally very particular about which anime I watch and even more about which manga I read, but always give the first 4 episodes/ first book a try. I've been catching up on FMP as of late as well as reading Monster. I've been watching anime for about 10 years. The first anime I ever saw (minus Voltron) was 3x3 Eyes.

Weee! More Elfen Lied fans! Awkward or not, there's always that first post and you've done fine so far

*Glares around and growls angrily at those who fail to understand the glorious form of art we fondly and proudly call Anime* ^_____^

Hello,

You know, I don't really like arguing with others about a show. I find I'm pretty impartial to discussing any either; just watch it, contemplate it, and shift gears in life to keep up with what you learn.

But in the end that's just a bit boring, so I signed up properly.

O'rly? Cool, I always had it the other way round, doing my best trying to learn Japanese... I can actually understand more Japanese than Swedish, which supposedly is our second national language (at least for a while still)

Anyhow, welcome aboard, enjoy your stay! Don't lean too far on the railing, so as not to fall overboard
