... are you suggesting that people might actually be able to do some jutsu if they memorize hand seals?

I think you need a hobby...

Chidori handseals are easy to memorize because it moves relatively slow. Almost every other jutsu used in the series moves to fast and is hard to tell exactly what they are doing.

i'm sure everyone here imidtated at least one type of hand seal. I did.

Hakus - the one where his middle fingers cross back over the pointing fingers
then
Narutos - Kage Bushin jitsu stance
Sasuke - the first fire stance

can't do it fast but i just do em for fun especially in class when there's nothing to do

Ok, Ok, I'll admit it... I once tried to imitate those hand seals, yeah, I had a little to much free time on my hands. It was kinda cool to get down, but it's not that satisfying, what with not being able to recieve any cool after effect from it.

LOL, it's funny that you should mention doing them in class, 'cause that's exactly what I do! That and and when it get's boring and slow at work.

I thought I was the only person dorky enough to do that. But yeah, I memorized the byakugan hand seals by watching a gif of Hinata frame-by-frame. I practice them in class whenever I get bored and get weird looks from my friends. I also tried to demonstrate the Hyuuga taijutsu stance for them only to get more weird looks.

At the center of every true fan is that fanboy or fangirl, err...sorta. I think everyone knows how to do kage bushin :P.

um... If I'm not mistaken a fanboy/fangirl IS the full extension of "true fan"...

are you trying to separate yourself from others you look down on here? 'cause anyone who says, "I'm a true fan" should never turn around and deny fanboy-ism... it kinda goes hand in hand, and is at most a grey area thing.

if you're going to claim fanatasism about something, don't try and put yourself above another fan.

(perhaps I didn't understand you completely, if that's the case, consider this a general statement, not aimed at you.)

:EDIT:
oh, right, duh, the TOPIC... yeah, I'll admit it, I've done a few of the hand seals in my time.

the only jutsu I "learned", however, was the one Sasuke used when he tied Oro to a tree and blasted him down the wire (somthing-fireball-wierd-suffix-no-jutsu?!?) and whenever my girlfriend jokingly makes fun of me, I use it right before double palm punching her.
