As much as I also am personally not pleased at the aspect of another RX-78 model, from a financial and technical standpoint it makes the most sense when releasing a new model kit line: Afterall, with the design having been established as being a best seller, promoting an infant model kit line like the Real Grade series using the RX-78-2 would be a safe financial proposition unlike if they have used a different design. Also, it's only the first of the Real Grade line, no need to get too riled up about their choice of the RX-78-2

But really, look at the thing. Look at it closely. The dang thing has detail comparable to the 1/1 scale model. I swear, each panel is a single piece of plastic. ...anyways... I'm mildly annoyed. The RX-0 and NT-D 1/144 boxes combined only have 2 beam sabers total. I really wanted to pose it in the GvGN+ NT-D victory pose T_T |

Amazing,a higher quality grade 1/144 scale model.I love 1/144 so anything thathelps the evoloution of the scale,Ill glady support.
I guess this is the to HG 1/144 what MG is to 1/100 scale. Depending on the price,I might just get it.So have a release date?

Interesting, and I think I saw the price of 2000 yen on that page,is it true?Doesnt sound too unreasonble for a souped up 1/144.
Personally,I think the original Gundam is a good choice. Its a design that they're familiar with,so they can maximise showing of their engineering for this new.Not to mention its a simple and famous design,so its a good way to test bed the demand for such a scale. I hope they'll move on to some other designs.I really want one of 00 Raiser, considering how good the HG of that was.Other lead Gundams would be sweet too,but I dont think this is going to be as widespread as normal HGs,probably one of those premium, few good chosen design types like how MG selection work.

I would be the first to go wow XD...I like the trans arm scene, but I don't like they cut the fight between Ali and Lockon short..especially they cut the part where the guy commits suicide to expose Lockon's weakness
Now I would have bought the HG Dynames if...it has the pistols on it!!!! Damn you Banadi !!!

Hmm. I think I will wait for the next line of kits. Like the Really Real Grade. Or the Seriously, This Is As Close As We Can Get To Real Grade, haha.
Nah, but in all honesty, if I can find this kit, I may get it. Out of all my kits, I never bought an RX-78 one, lol. Never had the interest before, but this kit is intriguing to me. Especially since it is the 1/144 scale, which is what I usually collect.

Well I kinda get it if they're doing it for the celebration thing.
Plus, its innovative. I'm not really tempted to stock on it though. RX-78's don't sell in America... I just see it as a 2.0 of the old HGUC. So if it costs as much as the HGUC, I might get it personally. |
