It doesn't really fit the Gundam series though. The only contribution Gundam from would be 'Red is 3x faster.'

Its also not really accurate, its too heavily influenced by Gurren Lagann.

Its written by an SRW fan, but the one big difference between a Western and Asian SRW player is the word 'GAR'. I never really liked the word, it doesn't exist in Japanese, it degrades the individual values that makes up the mecha spirit. It can work with Archer and other non mecha characters, but it never sounded right for me when applied to mecha.

GAR originates from 4chan as a meme.

The meme was that someone saw Archer's Unlimited Blade Works and posted 'I am gar for Archer', 'gar' was a typo for 'gay'.

And the meme spread, 'GAR' became a word to describe a male character who was so awesome, you would be gay for him.

But the meme further evolved into describing awesomeness, badassness, epicness and everything that makes a character amazing and no longer just for male characters.

I've never liked the word because of its origins and it doesn't give credit to individual traits and factors that makes characters awesome.

Really? I think it covers a lot of the generic themes of the mecha anime genre.

I think you need to watch some G Gundam... it pretty much follows the rules.
