I have only one word for this: WHY?

As much as I would have liked the return of my favorite cartoon from the late 90's/early 2000's (and pretty much of all time), at least they could have stuck to the original style I've grown to love. Each time they tried messing with it, the result was anything but spectacular (Dream in Style, PPGZ), so why haven't they learned their lesson yet?

The only good part about it is that it seems like the original voice actors will reprise their roles once again.

For the sake of Nostalgia, I may give this a watch. But.....the new animation looks too unattractive and awkward for me. I much prefer the old animation style.

PPG was filled to the brim with innuendo, both blatant and hidden. That's one of things I loved about the show – it had a bit of a childish appeal, but it had a mature audience in mind, which I assume is why it was so popular with both young and old alike.

I fear that this will be lost in the new series, making it more aimed at children than adults. I wonder if Craig McCracken (series' creator) himself approved of it, or if this was solely the CN execs wanting this to happen.

Ehh...the new style doesn't bother me that much. Sure I would've preferred the classic 2d style of animation, but at the end of the day, so long as the plots, humor, and voice actors are on point, I'll love it just as much as I used to. I'm looking forward to this!
