The message is to give everyone what's theirs instead of blindly blaming Shinku for Gin's condition.

What's wrong with that part? Not Gin's idea of happiness but it was Shinku's idea of Gin's happiness.

Shinku wouldn't have saved Gin at that time. Unlike S2 and unlike Sui, she still considers the rules of the Alice Game something that can't ultimately be avoided, maybe bent a bit (even from S1, she bends the rules to allow both Tomoe and Hina to live on), but a doll who claims to be Rozen's creation and wants to participate in the Alice Game must abide by the rules . UNLIKE Sou, Shinku helped her stand on her feet instead of eliminating her, while, like Sou, she had the right, according to the rules, to destroy Gin. The last one that is to blame regarding Gin is Shinku. Neither Rozen nor Sou gave Gin a hand before Shinku.

I don't think so...But I think the overall tendancy to nit-pic about Shinku in here (who's my favorite Rozen doll, btw...heh) is a little ridiculous. So much of the animosity is based on the tone people are interpreting translations in. This isn't the first time I've noticed this in here...merely the first time I've been around while it's happening (n00b here...hehe).

As a character Shinku is a person of conviction tempered with compassion. She is not a pushover or a sap (she is not nice for the sake of being nice...but niether is she duplicitous or intentionally mean). She is curt in her assessments - even abrassive - but honest. It annoys me to no end to constantly see her besmirched in here simply because it's the fashion to do so.

Not that any of this means anything, as we are all just fans debating fictional characters....but I just felt the need to speak my peice. Heh.

well yea ~ i basically dislike shinku for what she did (ie getting gin's hopes up only to see it crashing back down on her) and i stand by my place ~ it doesnt mean that i hate shinku (to strong of a word to use) but i generally just disliked how she handled the situation...and its all come back down to blaming her personality for this...i guess being "daddy's fav" got a bit into shinku making her head to big to fit her own hat...that is what caused the trouble at the end...i wont deny that shinku did help gin "take those first steps in life" but i must also agree to her being responsible for the downfall of gin ~

but during the second season she did say sorry indicating a change in her attitude towards people which deserves some credit ~

Actually, if she was as arrogant as you claim, she would have just shoved them all off in the usual "you don't deserve my pity, worm" stuck up attitude. She would have taken Hina's RM in the usual "I won, I'm superior, this is rightfully mine". Time and time again she has shown her ability to sympathize with others in a manner that is not as stuck up as people make her appear. Rozen and Gin herself are mainly responsible the downfall. Many alleviate Sou's involvement on the basis that at least she treated Gin like an RM. Ah goodie, you treat a crippled non-combatant as a worthy opponent, hurray...

Shinku stated the obvious. Rozen created perfect dolls, how could he give an RM to someone weak and incomplete? Obviously Shinku was underestimating Gins's abilities, but on a sound basis. All other dolls are complete and striving for perfection, how could Gin survive against all other dolls, even with an RM? It's fairly logical for Shinku who tries to bend the rules here and there and is sympathetic to those that choose not to fight to question Father's intentions of putting an incomplete model to battle against full fledged Rozen Maiden. What's so wrong with stating the obvious and trying to persuade someone you consider weaker than you not to take part in the Alice Game?

She lied to Gin about Father... So? It's the best thing she could do. This is the first time a doll was so obsessed with meeting Father that she moved without an RM. If Shinku told her there was no way to meet Father, just rot and die, a) would Gin even listen, b) even if she did, would she care to live anyway? Shinku tried to protect Gin from the truth, tried to arrange a happy life for her and at last tried to discourage a flawed doll from taking part in a deadly war game. She had the best involvement in Gin's life and the thanks she got was smashing her treasure.

Add to the facts that Gin fans seem to forget a whole array of expressions of sympathy, joy and pain towards Suigintou (I'm sure no one notices Shinku's pained expression when Gin disappears in the N-field. According to many of you, Shinku had no love for Gin, yet her expression is obviously painful when Gin disappears.

On the Shinku thing, theres something about her that I just hate. I can't really understand why. Yes I'm a fan of Gin, but I hated Shinku even before I liked Gin (which didn't really come until Traumend). Maybe if I'm honest with myself its because I see too much of Shinku in myself and none of them are good characteristics. And then theres that Desu x Jun and Gin x Megu are my fav couplings in RM and knowing how drearily predictable anime is, Shinku is set to ruin them both in S3 -_- Course this is all academic. Shinku fans are Shinku fans and Gin fans are Gin fans so theres no point getting worked up about whos fault the whole mess is. Its safe to say that Shinku and Gin both did their fair share of crap to each other. Neither of them are saints. But thats what keeps me watching

Not bad at all! I really like the Bara one. Ano, the second one is a bit exaggerated.
And I posted mine....what an idiot I am! I've never draw for many years and I post my first attempt of SuiginTou at Animesuki's Forum.(no need to care about, I'm talking to myself) Anyway, keep it up, that's a pretty good beginning or n-th drawing, I dunno.
