Loving the preview music as well. That style seems to be the theme of the score, which i am very happy with. It's a nice change, and fits the setting of this story nicely.

I like all the BGM music so far except for one piece. You can hear it in ep 5. It's that eery piece that played during the nighttime castle conversation between Arawn and Ogam during the prologue. I think it was a synthesizer trying to imitate bagpipes or a similar reed instrument. But it simply didn't work for me. It was eery though. I'll give it that.

Don't care much for either the OP or the ED songs, but I'm not big fan of Jpop to begin with. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the OP out of my head. Lying in bed, trying to fall asleep, and that song keeps running through my head. Not good.

If you're like that, then it means you'e able to acknowledge just how catchy the OP is.

I like it for that reason. It's a fun song that sets me in the right mood for this show.

The H1N1 virus is catchy too. Doesn't mean I want it running through my head though.

I admit if I had to choose between the OP or the ED, I prefer the OP. The ED really disappoints. I think it's the Engrish pronounciation at the very beginning that kills the ED for me.

I noticed a few interesting things in this episodes that tie to the game, but I can't tell a thing for a couple episodes still 8P
Odd fact #23213: a few of the camera shots in the last episode show some parts of Avalon exactly like they were portraied as backgrounds in the game.

I for one thought that this episode was the biggest downfall of this series yet. Llyr is an awful character both in voice and personality and in this case the voice only made it worse. Personally I don't think the series has done well at all over the past few episodes and by that I mean it has some serious pacing issues. I'm fine with a slow pace but for this type of series (a somewhat action orientated adventure type series) to have something this slow, with little noteworthy events to account for and most importantly to be boring most of the times is just a downer for me. But this episode just took it on another level with being annoyingly boring, pointless and uneventful with the introduction to a character with some serious problems. I really don't find her moe or cute at all...all I see in front of me is an idiot (no offense to those who likes these types of characters since I just seem to have a natural hate towards dojikkos).

Octavia is now the only reason why I am watching this since she is not only the best girl here, she also has the best voice.

I don't care much for Llyr either, altho she is a elf(I'm huge fan of elves)...theres a distinct lack of pointy ears but that applies to the rest too. I'm too hell bent on the pointy ears thats why I have a hard time thinking the people here are elves.

Octavia is cool in every sense, shes who I'll be looking forward to from now on and some Mo-chan too

Don't diss Llyr yet, that's all I can say. As for the pacing, it will pick up soon if they stick with the game flow.

Anyways, Llyr is a selkie. Scottish seal fairy.
The whole marrying the human who steal their seal skin is part of the selkie myth also.

The anime and (probably) the game called Llyr an elf. That's not quite true based on what they showed us about her in ep 6.

Based on the fact that the seal pelt was hers, Llyr is actually a selkie. A selkie is a fairie being who can transform back and forth from a seal form to a human form. Selkies are not elves in the traditional mythology. When in human form, the selkie's seal pelt is usually left hidden on the beach somewhere. When a selkie wishes to return to the sea, the pelt is retrieved and worn. (Like a coat or an all-encompassing costume, I assume.) If a human finds and keeps the seal pelt, the selkie is in the human's power. In some forms of the mythology, a female selkie will become a man's wife if he hides the pelt from her. Hence Llyr's addition to Arawn's harem.

Spoiler for Hakushaku to Yousei:

Llyr isn't the only selkie who's graced the anime airwaves in the recent past. Ermine (Raven's sister) of Hakushaku to Yosei (Earl and Fairy) is also a selkie although we never saw her in her seal form. The fact was only talked about.

She was very competent at killing that crab and very incompetent at milking the cow and washing the clothes. I acknowledge that milking a cow takes practice. But how does one manage to wash clothes and become completely covered by soap bubbles?? The disconnect between Llyr's abilities really threw me off.

Dodgy translations most likely as "Yousei" has always been fairy =/= elf. And I didn't even know a seal fairy actually exists in myths

Actually those scenes are taken from the "optional events" of the game. There are a couple differences, but I'm not telling them unless I get assured this won't be a violation of spoiler rules.

The only explanation I have is "anime magic". Just like how flying girls can land with their butt in your face despite falling in a direction that makes it rather impossible or how nameless characters can fall facing in the wrong position when knocked out.

I like the episode thus far. ToT is starting to become my recommended titles with the awesome fight scripts. XD You don't see that often in animes. (least for me)

No, in the game (at least the PC version) Arthur doesn't have any romance interest at all, apart from his arguably "incestual"-interest.
It's a bit of a shame, since at least in Utawarerumono Oboro still had the archer twins for himself (I'm not sure if he was pleased about it though ).
