A series of alternate endings would be kind of neat (it'd certainly be easier for them to write since it'd just be mapping the game to screen).

However, each path would need more episodes than the total block has room for...

Well... I would actually go for some OVA's. Not alternate endings. Although I was really depressed when it ended I want OVA's more than alternate endings.
Actually when the last episode was finished. I was like: WTF?! That it?! I want more!!!! :O
