Heheh, good find, even if it did somehow make me think "mindless fanservice". Cut the FF girls a bit of slack, though. They were outnumbered after all. And it was kind of obiously that those twin guns weren't going to do crap. In all cinematic sequences, the sword always beats the gun.

Dead Fantasy I & II
Dead Fantasy I
Dead Fantasy II This first appeared at some convention in Boston. But, I thought I'd post it as it's pretty damn awesome. It features Final Fantasy girls vs. DOA girls. It's pretty obvious the creator is a Final Fantasy fanboy, but it's still amazing nonetheless. Spoiler:

Impressive. I saw the first Dead Fantasy movie and his Haloid on Gametrailers. He has some great ideas for his movies and he executes them nicely. However, Dead Fantasy II seems really...over-top with some of the animations. I was truly impressed at some of the scenes yet at the same time I was laughing and chuckling at some of the insanely crazy stuns some of these girls can pull off. I mean even FF: Advent Children combat scenes weren't this crazy.
After checking various sites comment about his Dead Fantasy II movie, everyone seems to favor the FF girls more than the DOA and obviously the creator does too. I, on the other, don't really have any favorites. I pretty much stopped playing FF games up to 7 and never played the later ones so I have no familiarity with the FF girls. It's the same with the DOA games. I know the names of the characters (some of them...) and what games they were in but I know nothing of their background or story. Anime/Video Game Girl characters are to be feared...lol.

Well it makes sense in the team-work department. I don't remember the FF girls trying to kill each other/rape half-brothers most of the time (lol Ayami?). The hammer girl was kinda random at first, but then I remembered she was from Ninja Gaiden.
Kaori was random as hell, though. WTF. That really opens up to basically Squaresoft vs. Team Ninja. Which...uh....well, Ninja's kinda screwed in the roster department. It was balanced, episode wise. FF was getting owned in I, DOA was getting owned in II. |
