Bought Y a couple of days ago (picked up X on the release date). Haven't actually opened it. I knew I was going to get it eventually, to use the first game as my perma-file and the second for quickie runs. It's going to be a huge pain to transfer in the short term. I want to complete the Kalos pokedex so I can get the Oval Charm and get eggs faster.

Speaking of eggs, I really miss the nurseries from B/W 2. I used to hatch ~75 eggs a day using 6 nurseries. I'm not doing so well now, and I spend most of my time collecting and hatching eggs.

Still thinking of what to do with my remaining 30 or so fc slots.

edit: ah what the heck, add me too, DGDCOne. My code's 3153 3823 5984.

At least some people seem interested in Riolu to try and breed a perfect Riolu for Lucario.

that's not bad actually Destined but the funny thing is im still waiting for dragon. btw gentleman I know its not as efficient as Super training but because of the new experience share dynamic you can attach the power items to other pokemon and train them via friend safari's I find psychic with abra and siglyph works well for Sp attack. Lightning is usually extremely good for speed and fighting and dark are good for attack. Also in case somebody didn't mention this serebii.net now has info on which pokemon potentially appear in safari's and the slots they're in it would definitely help.

No... if you really want to be effective with EV training without doing Super Training, then just fight Pokémon hordes.

hordes aren't as affective mainly because they're not common and unless u have a move that'll attack every pokemon at once they're extremely annoying

Give your Pokemon those drugs from the store. Le Wow is a very good money farming spot as you'll easily make 200k-300k if you clear with Amulet Coin and sell a set of 19-21 Balm Mushrooms per fast clear.

Though for things like HP Training doing Rank 2 is waaaay faster than Rank 3. I can clear Rank 2 HP Training 3 times and beat the time very easily before I'm even close to done with a second HP Rank 3 training.

Though it's criminal how easy Attack and Speed Rank 3 Training is compared to everything else. Made it very easy to EV train my Garchomp.

Not having a field move is your problem. There are plenty of field attacking TMs/HMs, like Surf, Dazzling Gleam, Bulldoze, Earthquake, etc.

Hordes being uncommon is also inaccurate on your part. You don't randomly walk around for it. You either use honey or a Pokémon in your party with Sweet Scent.

Then if you add in Pokerus and/or an appropriate EV hold item, killing hordes actually yields more EVs over a smaller timeframe than Super Training.

Pokerus is a 'once-off' thing, you can't re-train/level ev's using it more than once (per pokemon). At any rate, unless you're very short on time (for whatever reason) it shouldn't matter how you're leveling EV's, as long as you're enjoying it.

On another topic, has anyone else noticed that if you use 'Encounter Power 3' you can find pokemon with their hidden ability in the friend safari, even if the friend is not online?
• Seems like they just have their hidden ability irrespective of whether the friend is/is not online
