Hey guys, I'm looking for something kinda like Byousoku 5 Centimeter.(other than Makoto Shinkai's other works) Are there any anime series/movies out there where there's a sad, heartfelt ending?(not mind f**k-ish like School Days, though...) Thanks in advance!

Yes, someone who hates the School Days ending, I like you already.

You can try the OVAs Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal but you might get confused if you haven't watched Rurouni Kenshin first. I would also recommend Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo.

Hanbun no tsuki ga noboru sora: One of my favourite romance animes ever. Story about a dying girl and a boy who falls in love and spends time with one another.

I'll second HanTsuki, Trust and Betrayal, and add Iriya no Sora. One of my favorite endings (along with trust and betrayal), ever (omg a male lead that actually has significant character development!). You should marathon both of these series, like I did, they're both very short OVAs. Actually, Air fits as well, now that I think about it. I marathoned Air (movie), HanTsuki, then Iriya in one evening. Damn, I couldn't count how many times I teared up.

Thanks for the sugeestions, guys. I've been meaning to watch Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo and Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal for sometime now. I'll probably give Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora and Irya no Sora a chance. Then if I'm still into the whole romance thing I'll watch Air.

Would Kanon also fit what I'm looking for?
