Well, a few trophies popped up during the Mantan TV preview. From the looks of things, you mostly get them just by progressing through the story, though there's a few odd ones that you get by messing around with the options menu and such.

Oh, and I finally ordered the game, too. Didn't pre-order, though, so I probably won't get those neat pens. Oh well. D:

I got my copy as well today. Just one question, is this game region locked? I have no problems getting a Japanese PS3, but if I could avoid buying one, I'd be happy.

Apparently there are no region locks for PS3 games so you don't need to buy a Japanese PS3

Free at last, just in time for the game to arrive! I just fast-forwarded through most of the game while doing some other stuff just to see if there was anything special/extra to unlock (got the gimmicky pens, too ). A few things for the record:

Spoiler for small list, might contain small spoilers if you haven't read Umineko:

• There's yet another new song for Jessica, and it somehow manages to be more insane and fast than either of the other songs, in my opinion . It's called すいすい☆スイーツ（＾－＾）- emoticon included.
• Music isn't completely unchanged - some of the songs sounded different, like they were edited to keep them from crowding out the voices (this is a good thing), and I think the voice at the beginning of system0 was cut out. I wasn't paying enough attention to notice anything else.
• "Kono gejo ga!" is now something less offensive, not that that's too surprising.
• Yes, I stopped and read the loser flag scene. It is 100 times more hilarious voiced, and you should go read it.

Yeah, when I got a trophy for changing the options.... The whole thing seemed kind of ridiculous to me (although the Rosa Musou trophy description was pretty funny).

Right now, from that list, I'm missing the Oreimo clicking parody trophy, whatever the hidden trophy is, and the character readthrough trophies (those take more than just clicking a few buttons or pressing R2 and walking away). I think you need all of them to get to the random "Hidden" box in the Picture Box, but I'm not sure - anybody know what that is yet?

I really wish you could just unlock all the episodes at the start. I just have it on auto run right now so I can read ep 2 and so on.

You can skip entire chapters instantly by pressing start and open up all the episodes that way really quickly, but that won't unlock the CGs or mark the text as read.

From the main menu I'm guessing? I mean I don't mind not unlocking stuff for eps 1-2 right now. I just want to see how eps 3-4 turned out.

No, when you're reading through anything, the start button will skip from where you are to the next chapter. So you can just go through 1 and 2 pressing start a few times and that will get you to the tea parties/the next episode really fast.

Ya, for some reason pressing the start button does nothing on my game.
I mean I know square is to get to the menu to save, triangle is for past text and X is to see the sprites.

but pressing the start button in game and on the main menu did nothing ....

Hmm, that's strange...I double-checked the manual and sure enough it says "skip to next chapter", and I don't think there's a way to turn it off, either.

Sorry it's not working for you. Keep fast-forwarding, I guess *shrugs*.

Wait, what was that? What was that in English and why was it offensive? What was it changed to? Sorry, it's been ages since I played through 1-4 and I don't know Japanese, but I want to know as much about Umineko as possible.
