Titled 'Dance with Devils"

New project (anime and game) announced by Rejet today. Premise/Summary:

The story revolves around Rikka Tachibana, a female second-year high school student who attends Shiko Academy in Shiko Town. She enjoyed her school life while living with her mother Maria, but one day, that balance fell into ruin. The anime is a story of Rikka being loved and being attracted to demons.

Premise made it sound like Diabolik Lovers with devils, only this time I really hope it actually ends up into something positive, bonus points for having an heroine not a complete bitch. Yona of the Dawn proves that you can still make a rather decent reverse harem story with a strong heroine and pretty boys that serves as legitimate comrades to her with her bodyguard being her main love interest. I seriously hope the same thing needs to happen here.

Additionally Yuka Takashina is doing the character designs, I really love that animator, she knows how to make her characters normally expressive with right dose of liveliness.

I'm not into Diabolik Lovers but I see why it would appeal to people, this one though... from the PV it just seems really generic. At least they could've used more interesting character designs. Also, Elements Garden again? Come on people, I know they're popular, but...

So this show has a fallen angel, huh? The last anime fallen angel I saw was a lazy shrimp who spent his time playing games and mooching off his roommates living in a cheap apartment in Tokyo's Sasazuka suburb.

What's with the huge disparity between this PV and the ones above?

It's a shame they didn't keep this PV's song as the anime OP. It has a nice creep factor in it. Reminds me a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas, especially with it being October. Well, after seeing the other PVs, my thought that this might be an interesting reverse harem, being an original and all, went down the drain. They made it seem like it'll be pretty generic. :/ Hmm, maybe there only being four boys will at least mean there will be some focus on plot.

So first episode is out now and well after watching it, I'm a bit confused at what happened. Hope we find out more about the guys, origin of the grimore, and everything else involved...

The music was something else though, probably the highlight of the first episode imo. Everything else felt kinda dense.

First episode doesn't leave much room over what was going on and I'm staying pretty cautious of the heroine in particular, but the idea of executing some of its scenes in a musical style felt semi-original to me. On the other hand, Brains' Base keeps the animation all around consistent and that's all it matters so far. Will give the few other episodes a shot to see if it goes better.

....wasn't she going to her friend's house? Poor Azuna she's still waiting for Ritsuka while she's hanging out with a filthy rich demon kid.

So anyway, another musical. It looked a little better than it did in the previews, but I really with they had gone for bolder/more abstract visuals. But thank god no Miyano Mamoru. It's nice to hear some variety in singers.

I'm not much into dirtybadwrong type romances (not that there's anything wrong with them), but the mystery so far is actually interesting, and the characters may end up being fun.
