Episode 17 was fun. And before anybody asks, no, I did not watch any unetho-sub, I watched the raw I grabbed off the Ny.
This episode is just like a part of the articles Kero Gunsou linked to, animated. So if you want the jist of the story and cannot understand the raw, read up. Spoiler for episode note and the historical basis:

Shura no Toki R1 DVD Release Information
As reported on Anime On DVD, the release date of the first Shura no Toki R1 DVD will be 11/16/2004--that is just way too fast
And get this--the Shura DVD Vol. 1 will have 5 episodes! I'm seriously looking into buying this one come November. |

For those who have seen episode 18, does anyone know what was the significance of the fact that Ryoma pulled the sword out of the stone?
Also the naval battles in episode 19 is nice and it even has some very cool CG graphics. |

I think the show is scheduled to have 26 episodes. It doesn't end on the 24th since I already watched that and there is a preview of the 25th. Btw, episode 24 was so nicely done, the artwork changed from the original to create the ghastly atmosphere. The color, the sound and the scenary (espeically the last duel with the snow falling) was so well done. This is one anime series that I'll miss when it is over.

I agree. If it's licenced, buy it. Don't ask about licenced fansubs or anything like that. Heck, buy it R2 even if it's not licenced and if it is, buy R1 and don't ask for it in fansub anymore or you will get in trouble, your posts will be nuked, etc, just like above...although I'd still be curious to know what I said to get my post nuked. o_0 I'm normally a cautious and staunch supporter of buying DVD's, so I'm not quite sure what would have said to have eliceted a delete. But oh well, that's neither here nor there.
Either way, do everyone a favor. Buy the DVD's, support the studios, make future anime possible. |

how many episodes have been released on DVD btw anyway? 6? 8?
and if it'll help convince the one who posted looking for eps 16 and up to buy the DVDs - NO, no fansub group continued subbing SNT eps 17 up. Last edited by tsadi; 2005-01-03 at 10:32. Reason: added the part in italics |

Tho i have only seen up to episode 19. I need to job my memory, there are 3 arcs if i remember correctly. The first arc ended at episode 7, second are ended at 14 and so far the 4rd arc is prolly going ot be 15-24/26. So far my favorite arc has been 1, 2 was pretty good and 3 so far is alright.
