Ah, so THAT was what Kha was requesting from Mercurianangel. I kinda figured it was, uh, Kha-related . Though he's not the only one that had a request from our resident artist goddess...

FotR Chapter 2 - "Defeat"

War. For several years Belka and Mid-Childa had been at war. This was going to be a decisive battle. The one who won here would be able to enter the territories of the other. All forces had been called out just for this. The Mid-Childa army had been on the offensive for days and the Belka army had been forced to defend.

Belka Armor Group Delta (AGD) had been ordered to prepare an ambush in the path of the advancing Mid-Childa army, meaning to weaken their troops so the Belka main army could attack with full force.

“Commander! The traps have been set and the camouflage has been set up over the tanks.”

The Commander of the AGD was someone who was feared in battle. He possessed tactical knowledge higher than average and always kept his troops at the ready. They were known for never retreating in battle and were specialized in putting up ambushes.

“Good work Corporal, now prepare your own group for battle. We need to be ready for them,” he said and resumed what he had been doing.

The Corporal saluted and walked away. On the map the Commander had been studying Mid-Childa positions were marked out and the planned strategy for the Belka army had been plotted out. According to the latest intel, they would pass through the forest where AGD was deployed within the next hour.
Fifteen tanks stood at the ready with three soldiers in each awaiting the army. They were all eager to engage and awaited orders.

Suddenly the Corporal who had talked to him just a minute ago returned. “Sir. We have a situation. The radar is picking up something south-west of us. It looks like some big things are heading this way and there are five of them.”

Enemies behind us? No couldn’t be. The intel has been precise, the enemy has not sent out any scout parties for days. Who are they? the Commander thought while ordering the soldiers to rotate the tanks in that direction.

Within a few minutes they heard trees falling down and they saw four giant humanoids coming out of the shadows. They wore some kind of coats, were very tall and muscular and carried something shaped like a scythe.

Wait. Only four? The Commander turned to the Corporal, “Didn’t you say it was five?”

“It was five Sir,” he replied nervously, “but the radar doesn’t pick up the fifth anymore.”

The Commander looked around with a worried look. If the radar lost track of something it usually meant that “something” had some kind of jamming and was preparing to attack.

“Listen up everyone!” he bellowed into the radio, “Be prepared for an ambush, we’ve lost track of one of them.”

The soldiers were getting nervous. They didn’t know how powerful these things were and now one of them had disappeared. This was just perfect for panic.

“Calm down people! We can take these eas-“

A massive explosion shocked them and he looked to the right. The fifth thing had finally appeared and with it, destruction. It had used its scythe to cut two tanks in half at the same time, along with the crew. The tanks had exploded and scattered debris along with blood and flesh all over the area. The things now stood all around them, looking at the soldiers in silence with big, lifeless, metallic eyes.
No one spoke or did anything. Everyone was stunned.

“What the hell are you doing?! Fire! Fire at these monsters!” the Commander shouted, but it was too late. The five things jumped high up into the air and landed next to the tanks. The procedure was repeated. Explosions went off everywhere, bodies flew around like ragdolls cut in two, blood and flesh drenched the ground and debris blended with smoke covered the sun.
It all calmed down after only a few seconds and the Commander saw that he was the only one left. One of the things took a hold of him and held him close to its metal face.

“W-w-what are you doing, you freak? Let go of me asshole!” he yelled while kicking on its body.
The thing ignored him. Text was beginning to form on its face. The human calmed down and tried to read it. It looked like gibberish except for one word and a sentence.

“R-reaper? Is that your name you freak? Huh suits you pretty well I admit. What’s that? Are you trying to tell me something more? “Not worthy”? HAH! Worthy for what, you useless piece of crap?! I’m more worthy than y-“

He abruptly stopped. He looked down and saw blood dripping and intestines hanging out from his body. In one fast slice, his torso had been separated from his lower body.

“Oh fu-”

The Reaper released its grip and let the human fall to the ground.

The following weeks afterwards, the Mid-childa army crushed the opposing army and continued into Belka territory.
The rest is history.
