Today I found out my top lane Quinn absolutely destroys Riven, she tried a daring level one all in since she had barrier/ignite that failed, too bad she went longsword not red pot

.

I went 20/5/3 to riven's 3/18/4, oh did I mention she got 3 ganks top to my zero? Been awhile since my kills got so high outside of a bot game

Red pot starts just scream gank time, resulting in tower hugging and more caution, thus being useful only in the case of a jungle gank, but...it's just better to get some lane sustenance instead, it's a high-risk, average reward tactic (because out of the 400g you'd have to subtract the two lost minion waves while you're pilling back, unless you're a ganking god that gets a clean kill at LV1...or run TP - but then how'd the gank go?).

As for Sivir...don't really use her, 100% because of her short range and gimped Q over multiple enemies. Not saying that she's bad, but it's really a situational pick.

Sivir is great against champions like Caitlyn/etc because traps give her mana.

Sivir is actually pretty awful against Caitlyn because of the range difference. Sivir has the same range as Graves IIRC.

Sivir is great against Leona, Thresh and Blitzcrank supports though cause of spellshield.

Leona still latches onto you even if you spell shield it.

Not really. The range difference isn't enough to make Sivir bad against Caitlyn. Caitlyn out ranges everyone and she just have built in lane-dominance. Sivir isn't good against Caitlyn either but she does have that gimmick with the traps. Kog'Maw is relatively good against Caitlyn since he is the only one that can trade with her. Bot lane is a 2 man lane so it isn't just "this adc counters that adc".

The two adcs that are "good" against Caitlyn are varus and ashe since they only have a 50 range diff between caitlyn but are also more useful post laning phase. Graves, Sivir, Vayne and Quinn have some of the lowest ranges (it's over a 100 difference) which is why I say Caitlyn is good against them. 50 range you can make a deficit but 100+ is too much.

But you are right in that supports make a huge difference. But try vsing a Cait + Janna/Sona/Nami. You would want to poke you're eyes out against that poke/harass kinda lane if you're not playing an adc that has some decent range.

Shit lol I just played an epic game that lasted over 60 minutes. I was Cait, my team had Sivir, Ashe, and 2 other carries. Game went back and forth, both teams lost 1 inhibitor each but we had the 2 side towers at base standing. The other team did a 5 man rush at mid and I teleported to bottom lane where our creeps were hitting the nexus towers.

Then I dc-ed and couldn't reconnect. The game was over when I restarted and we won. If anyone was in that game, please let me know how it ended.

Spoiler: CLG lost 0-2 to TSM at PAX 2013, despite going 4-0 against them throughout the LCS summer split, then CLG proceeds to 2-0 Crs, a team they went 1-3 against in LCS. Truly counter-logic. So CLG have a spot in NA LCS season 4 and Crs have to play a relegation match later. Meanwhile TSM beat Vulcun 2-0, securing a place at Worlds and Dig got beaten by Cloud 9. The finals will see C9 vs TSM. Both will go to Worlds, but the winner of the PAX 2013 finals gets a by into the later stage. Third place will be Dig vs Vulcun, winner secures the last NA spot at Worlds.
