Wow, this thread became all lonely all of the sudden. Alright, lets start a new discussion. For those who read the summaries already on the social group and for those in general who have not but are curious, here is a question. How do you guys feel about traps? Traps: a character who dresses as the opposite gender for whatever reason. Traps are included in this Light Novel by the way.

I am fine with traps as well, as long as they really portray the other gender. It would make me throw up if I see a trap that is so obvious, I really prefer the non obvious. It is more hilarious when it comes out and seeing the post and comments people make due to the surprise. Also, I like them straight as well. Oh and Awrya, there is another trap in the Light Novel. Reread the summaries closely you'll figure it out.

Hahaha, the funny thing is I knew a guy in High School who actually brought a trap with him to bed at the Halloween Ball. Boy was me and my girlfriend surprise when he told us. I never saw his face so white before.

If I was trolling: EVERYONE.
If I'm serious: everyone in Oda most likely, and a few foreingers. If we're being exact, I'd be guessing Inuchiyo, RIku, Hanbei (even if she IS obvious...) P.S. And because I missed that discussion, meh, traps aren't my thing, but I won't drop anything unless the trap is in the main pair. Though, Boku wa Tomodachi is a perfect exact of a trap done RIGHT! Baka Test isn't too bad either... |

Actually, Hanbei doesn't count because it's damn obvious.
Hum...the dog is sometimes jealous....the ninja is loyal to him...Nene Maybe, haven't read far...aside them, Katsuie loves Nobuna, Niwa I don't know and that's all I know.

And take Three Kingdoms for example, everyone tend to think Battle of Guan Du is this one huge battle where Cao Cao's force eliminates Yan Lian and Wen Chou, Yuan Shao's top two generals and goes on to burn the supply camp. When in reality it was a campaign that covers over 8 month and there is a 6 month break between the death of Yan Lian and Wen Chao and raid of Wu Chao. In between, Yuan Shao was still making solid progress despite the lost of two generals. He advance went as far as to the point that he almost split Cao Cao's territory in half.

The wars back then in the Sengoku Era or any other era before the 1800s took a while. In the present we may see a battle being won in 8 months a long time, while during that time it might be considered very fast. Sometimes battles are turn out to be much more than what actually happen. Like Ramesses II, when he fought the Hittites in the battle of Kadesh. He barely survived and only fought to a draw, then he went back to Egypt after the ceasefire and made many monuments depicted a great victory.

Though no one really fights in winter or like to fight. Normally you don't. I dont know for Japan, but in ancient Rome, before Marius' reforms on the army, soldiers used to serve for less than a year and they start fighting in April. Plus, fighting in winter is demoralising for your troops because it's damn cold, damn wet and other reasons. Only the Russians can fight in winter (Waterloo, etc.)
To be honest, Sengoku is not that comparable to ROT3K (Romance of the Three Kindoms) when it comes to feints, defection, treachery and has no Zhuge Liang, so I wonder what kind of strategies and such the MC (Yes! Back on topic!) could find. If it's something like screaming your general's name again, then I pass. I hope to see a sequel BTW, if ever the story ends and Nobuna dies (which is quite possible, since it's a historic event and the author can't do a "Nobuna and Sagara lived happily in a mountain far from Japan and had many children"). The more I read, the more I like the story yet the more I feel that some should die. Strange, eh?
