We all agree the bad parts of FT are: new charas looking like the old ones, extremely long and boring flashbacks(not counting the previous lunar war), EVERYONE is blood related somehow, slow pace, clones/holograms instead of the much needed new enemy aces.

Rest is fine, the earlier battles were really entertaining but even them have fallen in quality

Frozen Teardrop should, and probably will end up getting animated in a couple of years to celebrate Wing's 20th anniversary.

True, people might not consider FT animation worthy, but just like Unicorn's story has been changed/retooled in a few points — some of which don't even resemble the original story anymore, it probably could be changed/improved from the novel.

I think the companion would be to do Glory of the Losers and Frozen Teardrop in OVA form instead of a full blown series.

Kinda like the Unicorn OVA series and the newer Evangelion series.

Crazy high animation, 1 OVA episode every like 6 months or so, etc.

Glory of the Losers OVA = 1 episode per 1 manga volume

I wouldn't use the word "should" to describe it's credentials to be animated. Like others, I feel for Sumizawa with what he's dealing with in his personal life. Like Prime said, I respect him for caring enough about the series and it's fans to work on the novel and manga with his wife ill, but it doesn't change the reality that he's torpedoed most of the novel's story.

Yes, Unicorn was tweaked in it's animated incarnation but there was likely a strong foundation to build on. Can we really say the same for FT? I love the AC universe as much as anyone but how could Sunrise seriously animate the numerous retreaded characters and convoluted story we've seen so far?

I would love to see an OVA of some of the early flashbacks involving young Treize, Zechs and company and the Lunar War working very well but there's pretty much no chance of that happens.

At this point, I'm just hoping GoL continues to live up to its standards.

I'd say throw out the past aspects of it and animate just the Mars portion... but then we lose more than half of the story.

Might still make a decent standalone OVA, but its really not likely to happen.

Heck, they'd have to animate some version of Crossbone first before they make this one just for featuring the past protagonist.

They aren't going to put kits out for suits that aren't revealed and for suits that barely have anything to represent them. The novel is stalled and there is really no point in putting suits out for a novel even if they were revealed. They are barely advertised since the novel isn't exactly as mainstream as a manga or anime. Anniversary isn't until 2015. We have a whole year before we should expect anything. Besides we at least got HGAC Wing Zero revealed. G Gundam turns 20 next year and got nothing. We should hopefully hear something by January when Bluray box 2 is out and has the audio thing.
