WE ARE.... PENN STATE....

And the Week Late Train rolls into Episode 8...
Maria has taken the role of comic relief this season. I don't mind that, because, quite frankly, they're doing a really good job with her as the rebellious old woman character. I was dying with the "cashews" story and the, "Maybe she's dead!" So, JNR now knows what RWBY, Qrow, Maria, and Oscar know. They took that well. The ever-optimistic Nora was probably the angriest, I thought, even with Jaune tapping the back of Oscar's favorite head up against the wall. Shows how hard the most zealous can fall. Is there an implication that Ruby's eye's reacted to Cinder for a reason other than the fact that Cinder has a sort of Grim arm...? Because I would've thought that that was particularly clear-cut, otherwise. Anyway, I guess there's a two-week furlough for the crew of the Week Late Train. Time to pull into a siding and let the Flying Kipper pass. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, fellow RWBY fans!

She doesn't know about Cinder's arm. Remember, only Raven knows about Cinder since the reveal didn't come until she was in the chamber and killed Vernal. That means outside of the bad guys, only Raven knows she's part Grimm and capable of draining Maiden powers.

Ozpin had it coming. It's sad he got to hide while Oscar took full brunt of anger in his stead though. Oz really need either apologise or own everything he did (or both), not hiding like little kid who is afraid punishment from his parents.

Oscar hasn't been 100% okay the moment Ozpin's memories were revealed. He was already beginning to come to believe that everything could turn out okay, only to be hurt physically and mentally. For Ozpin to leave out so much secrets, which got him punched out by Qrow, taking the brunt of the anger by Team RWBY and now Team RJN. And Ozpin locks himself in, after he just lost hope. Oscar is a boy from a farm, reluctantly doing exactly what Ozpin told him too after being convinced to leave his home after he hears a voice out of nowhere. He's just a kid who now has to bear with Ozpin's mistakes as if he made those mistakes himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to go home because he can't take this anymore. I wouldn't blame him for doing that, but the problem is getting back home is easier said than done, and we've no idea if he's going to run into trouble, which is still likely to happen.
Like I said, whatever happens to Oscar is on both teams' hands plus Qrow. Where things are heading currently, it's not safe for Oscar to be alone out there. Oz definitely knows what he put this kid through, so he needs to stop whining and self-loathing about his mistakes and consequences and take responsibility. This thing is only over if he gives up. If anyone who has been fighting Salem gives up, and can't get over the hurt of such an incredible secret held away due to Oz's fear. Oz is not that good a guy as he used to be, but Salem will not stop, and she's way worse than Oz. |
