I wonder XD
The ending scroll only says "missing" on their personal description. Although it is said that "when the seagulls cry" noone is left alive.

Then you don't understand what it's "fast paced". Ok then.

Is obvious that some people will never be satisfied... even with something like this.

It's meant to be that way, and I'd say your reaction is because of the shocking revelations they put you through all at once rather than a matter of bad pacing. After all, the tea party + ??? are the least skimped down parts of this entire first arc.

I believe more explanations and input, instead of a short "too fast paced" would help him and others (me included) to get why you feel this way.

I'm sorry, but that won't do. It is a matter of opinion and interpretation. The fact you or anyone else can say it is fast paced doesn't mean it isn't the case for him, though more explanations are required.

Yeah, "fast-paced" is something I actually value in the climax of a suspense story, oddly enough.

Yeah, sorry Klash. I was a bit rude.

Well, i initially started with reading the manga.

Seeing all the things they cut out, it is too fast paced.

I can also guess with the later episodes that , with high probabilty, a ton of material is cut out of the anime, which will be shown in the manga.

Thing like character developement and interaction.

Eva vs. Natsuhii? Hardly seen any rivarly, hostility in the anime.

I guess, all the people that says, that it is not too fast paced, have to read the manga to judge it better.

However, even if i would be a anime-viewer only, i can see that scenes are skipping fast, that there is hardly depth shown of the characters etc. pp

The problem here is that... you are mentioning things that happened in the previous episodes. But yet you were complaining that 1-5 is too fast paced.

So the question here is: what is TOO fast paced in THIS episode? That is actually why Sento and I (and probably more) are wondering.

We are talking about THIS episode, I-V.

You say it was fast-paced. And if you follow the manga, then you even didn't get to see the tea party and ????...

So I don't get you.

Yes, i didn't get to see the tea party in the manga yet.

I am using common sense

Manga:
Volume 3
-Chapter 11: Invisible Witch
-Chapter 12: Eva VS Natsuhi
-Chapter 13: Battler VS Eva
-Chapter 14: The Second Night 1
-Chapter 15: The Second Night 2

After so many chapters still nothing of the Tea Party. So it will be like the previous episodes where the i have already read the manga, that many things are missing. Too much.

Well, you're wrong.

When the last episode ended, at that point in the novel there was only around 5-10 minutes remaining of EP1. And then Tea Parties.

So, this time the pacing was almost perfect. That's why (with the good direction and the well placed music) everyone was prasing on how good and awesome this episode was in the first place.

You are only making assumptions. Episode I-V was very close to the VN in term of pacing. Almost nothing was left out.

Let's see:
- Ep 1 = Chap 01-04
- Ep 2 = Chap 05-07
- Ep 3 = Chap 08-14
- Ep 4 = Chap 15-20
- Ep 5 = Chap 21
Then how the hell ep 5 is fast-paced ?

And talking about "many things are missing"
Spoiler for Manga:

The manga isn't exactly a good comparative basis of pacing...

Oh, so it is originally this paced so it aims to be confusing.

Well anyways, so far i can't relate with the anime, cause of many lacking things that are needed to correlate with the characters.

A pity that i am not rich. I would give them more money to make more episodes out of it.

Anyways the first part of this story seems to have wrapped up and I'm definitely going to be thinking about what is going on here for a while. Obviously there is only so much to go on with us being 5 episodes in.

Battler did put up a strong front not budging on the culprit being human. No matter what appeared before him he kept on denying until the very end. Sadly just denying and saying you'll figure things out is different from actually doing it. I'm between Battler and the others in how they looked at it. Do think it's possible people could cause the deaths that occured. But at the same time do believe there is magic connected to this and in the existence of the witches.

Bern was a pretty cool character from her first appearance here.

Definitely the best episode of the 5 so far.
