Psycho-Pass - Anime General Discussion

In the discussion for Episode 10, I said that I thought that episode was especially disturbing seeing how it aired just a day before the Sandy Hook shooting. Not just because it featured a guy gunning down random people, but all the discussions about the shooter's motives made me think of the Nietzschean talk about staring into the abyss for too long. I personally don't quite want to know what was going inside the shooter's mind, but of course a lot of people do...and I can understand why.

In short, sometimes we do have to "jump into the swamp". It takes perhaps a stronger mind than mine to keep from drowning in it.

And of course Madoka's Episode 10 aired the night before the earthquake. Dammit Urobutcher, what tragedy will you predict (or perhaps bring on with sheer bad vibes, heh) next?

^ No idea, it didn't rank in the most recent chart, and we're currently waiting to see the numbers on the full list that'll be out on Sunday(?). But it doesn't seem to be any good.

- It is some sort of experiment
- The director cried at the last episode’s script
- Urobuchi refused to add ~yaoi~ fanservice to attract the female audience
- Abnormalize was written from Kougami’s point of view
- Namae no nai Kaibutsu is about Makishima

There's like a 8 year age gap between Akane and Shinya and Yayoi has 22 years only? Ginoza anda Masaoka has the same blood type, know i really guess that they are son and father

for Akane I thought she was 19 years old ... and if this is true for Yayoi well ... yes it is apparently very young therefore is possible for his age and Shion 27 ... Good

For it is the only Kogami where we learn her age in the anime then Akane also right? Someone said that she was 19 years old after watching this episode too, but I do not know personally I've ever seen her age somewhere

Well, the ending did leave room for a continuation of sorts. A very excellent series, to say the least. As questions are answered, new questions form. As long as Sibyl still exist, the story can continue on. However, it might not be Akane focused if a sequel does happen. Essentially, Akane has left the role of overtaking Sibyl to someone else. If a sequel happens, it will probably be about the next generation.

I can't picture a season two doing that well. To start with I don't think this show was as popular as they wanted it to be. It might be one of the reasons why we got that ending. Dragging something on tends to dilute its overall quality.
