Good point. But I may still whine, since the negativity is a real downer for me. I'd rather just think about the story as it is, not as some other version of it is. However, you have a perfect right to carry on with whatever you want.

Again, we had so many discussion about the fact that negative comments and opinions have just as many rights to exist as positive ones. It is not appreciation forums, but discussion ones after all, so it is nice to see you admitting that and not involving into another pointless discussion trying to prove why positive comments are better than negative ones and thus have more 'rights' to exist. So thanks for that.

And I do think that for some people it may be very annoying seeing the series they like being trashed by others just due to mismatch or cutting out scenes, but again same way can go otherwise as the one that doesn't like the series (but not to the point of dropping it completely) may get annoyed by the positive comments that are aimed towards the shallow (as he/she imagines) presentation of the original.

It is always a double edge sword.

As long as we're careful not to spoil the manga or novels, critical analysis is certainly okay I would think. However, its also a good idea to treat the anime on its own merits ... does it tell a compelling and interesting story on its own?

If the source material is considered, one should consider the following:
Does it completely re-write the characters or are there just minor differences? Does it completely deviate from the known story or is it following the general outline (albeit in summary or rough sketches)? Is it an alternate universe? And so on...

It is rare that *any* adaptation of *any* kind in *any* visual medium comes close to the source material. The filmed version of Moby Dick is quite compelling but a vague shadow of the book. Same for Lord of the Rings epic trilogy: visually brilliant but still just a rough shorthand of the book.

I've run into a few cases where I thought the film adaptation was superior to the source work... but the vast majority were simply .... sort of a synopsis or slideshow of the source.

Akino Watanabe's own CD? I guess. She wrote the lyrics and music(?) for Pre-Parade.

Ryuuji x Ami seems like it might go well, but the show is almost definitely RyuujixTaiga.

The show's characters are all pretty likeable, and the group chemistry is impeccable.

At the rate its going, it looks like the all the volumes of the novels will be covered; its about 2~3 eps per volume. This series will have a conclusion unlike some that leave a lot of loose ends at the end of the season.

I do not think it is possible to cover all the novels (specially the latter chapters as it would take massive character developing and changing the mood, unless they would do it very drastically, in ZnT way, ignoring character development and skipping volumes in general.

More so because episode 8 seems to be another filler/anime original (like ep 3 was, and partly episode 4).

So I would guess there will not be a real conclusion yet. Not the novel one for sure as it would take more episodes than the ones taht are left to cover it.

Now this is what I called character development.

Interesting to see how Ami's character proceeds on.

Not a bad ep, but it 's was too rushed ( the first scene could have be 30 second longer)
Yes, they have skipped some stuff, but they managed to get to the same result ( or something near it)

Like all the other episodes based on the source material, I gave this one a nine. Sure they skipped some stuff, but its a nice summary of it all, and I want to get to the volume 3+ stuff anyway. The characters are as enertaining as ever. Probably my favorite school anime cast since Haruhi or Kanon 06.

According to MAL its 25 episodes, so they very well could cover all nine novels at the rate they're moving. If there's no ending to the novels by the time the series finishes airing maybe they'll do an anime original ending. The filler episodes were good, so I'd be fine with that.

The episode is subbed now.
It's only Aero, so you might want to stream it on YouTube or something.

It was good, I liked it.
Good thing I didn't read the novel.

*Hopes Taiga becomes jealous.
Although, I am impressed with Ami's development.

Spoiler for ep 6:

And for those who have read the novel, my condolences go out to you if you thought it was rushed. Fortunately, I haven't read past the manga, so the episode felt near perfect in terms of pacing. Besides, I don't want some coward of a stalker to take up anymore time than necessary(if he was badass or someone to be feared, it'd be a different story).

@Vx
Aero fixed the multiple char talking prob in ep 6, if you actually wanted to know(i got kinda a semi-sarcastic feeling from it when you asked >.>).

As far as the anime is concerned... I actually want Ryuuji x Ami... I can't stand Taiga in the anime version. In the manga though its definately Ryuuji x Taiga.

This episode was great, glad to see that someone is finally making a move on Ryuuji.
