Yeah... I'd be willing to try it, because the gameplay at least sounds good, but while some genres can fly on just that an RPG really isn't one of them. If I was going to play this game, it would need to be an English language version so I could understand the plot and see if it was actually worthwhile. And I'm not sure I see that happening...

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. From what I've read of it, it seems that a large part of the point of playing it is the story and so on. Whilst the gameplay is seemingly not bad, it seems that most of it requires an understanding of Japanese to play through without a walkthrough, and it is apparently rather plot-heavy.

I certainly wouldn't want to play it in Japanese, unless I could speak Japanese, of course....

Ahhh, the ultimate Scherzo! We wouldn't mind having it, but we can't read/understand Japanese.

It's doubtful they will make it into english, but if they just gave an english patch I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Beyond that, no. I already have one game I don't understand in the least. It also happens to be in Japanese as well and also on the Playstation Portable.

Sigh... oh well, or I suppose.

This is the big one for me. Especially when the apparent price of the 3DS being so high, spurging for a PSP at this point seems silly.

This week's blog update confirms that the JP PSN version is up; looks like it clocks in at 1.1 GB.

Also, Caster is surprised at something; possibly about some sort of poll regarding which costume is the best.

Does that mean it'll be on the PS3 soon too, or is that just for the PSPfai- er, PSPgo?

The download is sill for PSP only; it just means that PSPgo owners (or those with other types of PSP that might prefer to have a copy of the game on their memory stick) can get it, too.

I hope it's released in NA on a disc and not download. I like to own a physical copy, thank you very much.

And I dislike Rin being with Lancer. It just doesn't sit well with me, lol.

Just wondering. I may actually buy it now.

Just bear in mind,
Spoiler:

I'd prefer a UMD version, too; but I'm guessing that if it gets localised, there'd probably be a PSN version made available alongside a UMD release.... assuming we don't end up the way we did with Fate/Unlimited Codes, that is. (That said, F/UC is less than half of the file size of F/E, so is less of an issue storage-wise.)

So far as getting the game itself, there should be a few online vendors around; it might not be easy to track down the LE at this point (or the Fate/the Fact add-on, regardless of whether it's with the standard or LE version of the game).

$129.90, plus whatever the shipping cost would be (if they don't have some sort of free shipping for this price, it'd probably only be about 5% or so of the total cost). I've yet to have to pay for customs when I import games, and I've imported 5 DS games (just not at the same time).

That product description sorely needs to be re-written, though...

Not least of which in that it seems to think that the game is just retelling the story of FSN as an RPG instead of a visual novel...

Which, to be fair, I bet more people would buy.

Also, there is no way in Hell I am paying $130 for a PSP game, I don't care how limited its edition is.

Yeah, the person who wrote that obviously doesn't have a clue what the plot is. He even thinks that there are only seven servants, and that Saber and Rin are the same people....

Well there is a cheaper alternative to playasia.

http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html

Still expensive, but I still decided to purchase it.

I'll keep an eye out at the next convention I go to. Conventions are good palces to find imported games at good prices.

I'll stick to shady people, they're easier to find and charge ya less if you know what to hold over their head.

^ I like Flinch's response. Best results are best for a reason. The end justifies the means, no?

Well, I finished the Caster run-through; total file time after 3 playthroughs: 64 hours 3 minutes.

(It was longer than that, with the re-do of week 3 and the fiasco at the start of week 7...)

I guess I feel on a bit of a low ebb
Spoiler:

I really hope the game retains its Japanese voice dialogue. If/when I ever get a chance to play an English text version, I want to hear the original cast speaking; with respect to whoever might be called upon for an English dub.
