Yea, but what happened to the wings?
This is looking more more to not be a direct continuation but more of a spiritual successor to the original E7 with a similar cast. Probably set in the same universe. My guess? A far flung future where humanity is established on earth. |

1. Eureka surgically have her wings removed. 2. She somehow able to retract her wings back into her body, or fold up her wings to hide behind her clothing. 3. She never grow any wings. Its a parallel universe not linked to the anime version but the manga version. 4. Ao's mom is not Eureka, just someone who resembles her (could be Eureka's daughter) What do you guys think? Note that "the mom" has a strong resemblance to Eureka in the cover of E7 Complete Works below. Last edited by pirateking; 2012-01-27 at 05:34. |

Well from that first page we can already see that Ao knew his mother (who is strongly resembling a certain someone), and he's not much older in the majority of the story it would appear. Take from that what you will

If Ao's abducted mom is indeed Eureka, it worries me about Renton's fate. The synopsis states that Ao's father went missing, could he possibly ended up the same fate like his sister and father? I begin to think that the Thurston family is cursed, properly explains why Ao is no longer named Thurston?

Is too early for me to goo goo ga ga fan boy over this. I was a big fan of E7 even with all its flaws. The story was still very creative and the music just sucked you in.
i will be looking forward to this, i have no doubt the animation will excellent If Ao is not the son of Renton and Eureka than im the king of wishful thinking land

I read the first chapter. It's really weird. The manga actually says it takes place in "2025 AD" and that doesn't really make any logical sense at all for the TV series or the movie. It's really a totally real world near-future setting, with more advanced tech than we have today, but the same basic form of world in terms of governments, society, etc. Nothing like E7 at all. But yet there are hints that it is indeed a sequel as well.
Spoiler:
I really have no idea of what to think of the story right now... |

duckroll: that's really, really weird. Maybe it's all going to be the coral dreaming a dream? Maybe the Nirvash sent Renton + Eureka to the "real world" (our Earth), circa when the series finished airing (2004-5ish)? It'd be a bizarre idea, but seems like the timeline would kinda fit.
Not sure if curious or frightenend. |
