^ Played a game last night, to me the biggest change was high-tier items for effective early game weapons like sheen and spirit visage, as well as the reworked masteries: supp=gold for hitting champions and MS boost finally got moved to a spot appropriate for its current effect, considering everyone got a flat 25 MS boost. The biscuit and ward is also much better than the +50g and having spellvamp combined with lifesteal in one makes it harder to have a cookie-cutter tree for everyone.
Vi seems fun to play, interesting mechanics with enough potential to smash newbies who'd focus a bruiser first in a TF, but I think I'd still pick Riven over her. The last two champions have also been compared to older ones (Zed-Talon, Nami-Janna). Shouldn't Nami be free this week btw? P.S: Vi's theme is awesome

I love everything about Vi except the fact that in ranked, she is almost a lock in for a loss for the side that picks her. I don't know what they can do to fix her. All I can say is that when I can kite/absorb a Vi as Taric for 20 seconds and wait for someone to come capitalise on my bait, it's pretty darn sad. There's too many top laners that spank her and there's too many junglers that offer more than she does. 1v1 she's fine in a lot of cases but teamfights...something isn't right. Something is going to get buffed and it's either Vault Breaker or Assault and Battery, because Excessive Force and Denting Blows are doing what they should be. Personally I think something has to be done with Vault Breaker. Removing the speed debuff and inability to choose direction when charging Vault Breaker would help. When Amumu has no hinderance with Bandage Toss, Nautilus none with Dredge Line, Maokai none with Twisted Advance, Nocturne none with Paranoia, Lee Sin with Sonic Wave, etc...I think the point is made. Make Vault Breaker an instant cast instead of that hindering charge time. Something in her damage needs to change but I don't know what.

The OGN Champions Quarterfinal between Cj Entus vs. Azubu Frost was one of the most amazing series I have ever seen. I'm not sure what OGN do in the way of VOD's but it is totally worth checking out if you can.

First time I see such a Kayle, not bad.
About the topic on Vi, the major thing I noticed is the fact she has nothing to restrain the AD she needs to kill : engaging with q is literally impossible once you play with people who got some experiences, the range is ridiculous and you can see it coming from far away, most ad like ez, cait graves, or any others things like those laugh their ass off. If you fail q, then w is useless, very hard to proc w in tf against the one you hunt, and finally, the ulti simply has no damage, overly ridiculous damage at all level, and like maokai, it's the kind of ulti that makes you enter IN 5 people, but unlike maokai, you aren't tanky enough to survive this. She is the kind of chara if you don't have a frozen mallet, you are useless, 'cause ennemy escapes easely but at the same time without a trinity she makes no damage. Cornelian dilemma |

Vi - build the god fist (Iceborn Gauntlet) to make you tanky, crazy burst damage, and snare, it's practically made for her and comes from 2 strong lesser items.
Add a black cleaver and she'll murder any squishy instantly with her combo, tank gear the rest of the build to survive the retaliation. is she going to replace the common picks like jax, probably not but her dive kill squishy damage really shouldn't be underestimated.
