Though saying that i've found some decent glasses wearing Saya material, so it's all cool.

I wonder how the two main characters were able to stay totally calm, have a casual conversation and even smile right after smashing the head of their best friend/boyfriend (not to mention the zombie invasion still going on). Maybe I'm not supposed to take this series seriously, but come on...

I'd say it's on the same level as Qwaser.

Takashi was obviously putting up a front to help Rei and himself forget what just happened. It's best to try to act that way in such a situation, so yourself and the people around you can stay calm. I thought that scene was very human like, and one of the best of the episode.

I agree with that espc right after he says that in his mind he admits he's scared and scared for his mother. I also think thats why everyone introduced themselves, they need to maintain a small level of normality. Takagi though didnt see the reasons behind it. I really hope she starts doing something since me to this whole "Im a genius" thing is getting old. I get unlike the other kids she doesnt have another skill to rely on which is why she found Hirano, she knew he was a gun guy, but her skills at slowly figuring out how the zombies work is also good, she just needs to learn to defend herself a bit better.

He's also most likely suffering through some stage of shock as well. This has happened in a very rapid period and so not fully understanding and comprehending the situation would actually be normal.

Exactly as i said, it's best to try and stay calm during times like that. She understands that acting all depressed over what just happened isn't the best thing to do right now. She's just putting up a cover, that's all. Deep down she'll be hurting.

I didn't realize before the 2nd episode that Hirano was voiced by Hiyama Nobuyuki. That's awesome.

This episode was awesome in general. Busujima has always been my favorite.

He's most likely having a disassociation episode as well. I also wouldn't be surprised if all parties have some form of PTSD after this is over.
