Good evening* Ladies and Gentlemen! ^^v

So here's the episode every manga-only followers were waiting for! The repetitive interruptions of the Ichi/Ulqui fight just reminded me how annoying it was during the manga '-' Though the added scenes with Chad and Renji were quite nice to watch =D
Talking about Chad, I particularly love that shot in the ED :

he has never looked so cool before

Not sure but probably around 40-50 chapters if I got the OP indications right.

so why are renji and chad fighting a clone of a guy they killed off a long time ago? and then why did they have to relearn that it can keep regenerating with the sand?

Well it appears Ulquiorra is a very touchy person. Geeze takes a hit and gets called out as acting more human and he freaks out. Good way to disprove a point by getting angry

.

Not as much fun watching Chad and Renji having to get serious against that sand guy.

Yammy's dog is in this episode? Now I really can't wait to watch it. But I probably shouldn't put any stress on how excited I am about his arrival, so that I don't spoil anything for anime only viewers.

really cool op it seems like they revealed a lot of stuff though. why is halibel dying in a ditch while numero uno and dos get to look all cool and stuff?

Sado and Renji put up a tough but good fight against the sand Hollow, Battlikora.

They alternated strategies to fool it, in order to win.

Ichigo, on the other hand, has begun to get the grasp of Ulquiorras' movements and beat some reality check upon the Espada, that his movements can be read or follow.

Solid episode. Chad & Renji interaction was interesting -- at least more so than Rukia's interaction with king fodder. And Orihime stepping in to lend a hand was cool just because of how unexpected it was. The speed at which she's now able to summon that rejection shield shows potential IMO.

Omake wins for containing a rare opportunity to see Chad act out of character.

Was impressed by the speed of Orihime's shield. Considering Ichigo didn't have time to adjust and block it shows some good speed. Even the defence was pretty good considering it actually blocked the sword rather than just getting cut through like it wasn't there.

Might have been a good episode if there wasn't so much recycled animation and meaningless filler fighting.

Great episode. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. But Ichigo... -1 for being saved by the damsel in distress.

Next week may be a little rough. Don't like girls picking on other girls like that.

Lastly, the OP still pisses me off. What do they think when they plan it out?

"How much cool stuff can we fit?"
"Well, if we put in spoilers, a lot."
"Okay, let's do it."
"But..the spoilers..."
"The don't matter do it anyway."

Which is good. It was comical, and was a decent fight that wasn't drawn out. It's best if they add little things like this in to lessen the horrible filler arcs.

Honestly, if they want to add a filler fight then do it during the filler arc... What are they doing screwing up the pacing of Ichigo vs. Ulquiolla for this stuff?

yes and no.
the initial few hollows they kill are the same as in the manga as well as renji and chad talking about how more hollows keep popping up. so all of the mass fodder killing in the anime was implied to have happened in the manga as well, just mostly off screen (they had a whole 3.5 pages).
however, there was no hint of a sand monster v2.0.

the possibly more interesting result of this is that in the anime renji has now seen chad's new devil arm (he even comments on it) while in the manga no one has seen it.

^Yeh, I was refferinf to sand man.

They better add filler parts (good ones) to major battles instead of small ones.
