I also loved the bit at the start with Tooru breaking the ice in the puddles. There can't be anyone in any country where puddles freeze that hasn't done that at some time or other!
I think we've seen some subtle and unforced character development in Tooru more than the others, over the series so far. The Death Note reference was hilarious. |

ep 11
Nice memories of the past and of Tooru's birthday. Lol at how Yuuko and Run met. Also Yuuko has no luck, that wasabi cake must have been interesting. Lol at how Run tricked Tooru about when she dropped the box.

The ending made me sad.
So did the amount of onscreen text but that's another story... Also, there have been some interesting guest stars recently. Hira-chan from this episode was played by MAKO, while "female student" from last episode was Fujita Saki. In fact, in episode 8, Kawano Marina, who sings the OP, made an appearance as "Mari" (who I can only assume is Nagi's fellow glasses girl).

Heh, what kind of sick baker puts wasabi in a cake? :P
And I get the feeling perhaps Run's mom was a lot like her daughter when she was her age. Since she now seems to be a relatively level-headed woman, maybe there's hope for Run yet. Also liked the literal animated 4-koma format of the eyecatch. |

Okay ... after repeated suggestions from an acquaintance of mine I finally picked up this series late in the season, and I must admit I like it. It is kinda "cute" in a "light slice-of-life" kinda way.
But, without having read through this thread - was anyone else reminded of the Beatles when they first heard the ED?

I went to watch episode 11 and it wasn't until after the OP was done that I realised I hadn't got any subs on, so I rolled with it and understood a suprising amount.
This weeks episode was far too sad, it's doing exactly what K-On did to me. It gets the girls really close and then it reminds you that after the next year one of them will be left alone. |

Ah oheheh hoohey hah. Hah hoh hoh hi. I think the series is pretty enjoyable, and I really love the character of Tooru. I’ll likely pick up the manga as well. After watching the last episode, I want to taste a durian burger so freakin badly.
