I don't expect Teruyama to lose even against Blade this time, and less after such revelation. For anyone of us who were wondering why Teruyama would work for the Government (or rather for Arclight himself, after what happened in the previous chapter) in Needless 1.5, we already have the answer.

I think that right now he's unbeatable. That parasite-like thing has powered him up to the extreme.

And I fear that by the time Mio and Setsuna (and hopefully Kuchinashi too) get there, it will be too late.

First of all the color pages. They were great, it's nice to see the tone of it is less serious than the last color spread page. But one has to wonder what's left of Yamada's manhood when he can get away with a pantyshot like that.....

Nice to see Disk into full action and I absolutely loved how Yamada was made to give his autograph to a gatekeeper, lol! Didn't think he still had his Killergirl ID, but it certainly came in handy. Teruyamas appearance was quite the surprise. But I'm still wondering what's going on with Gido. Where is he now? What's he doing? Perhaps simply staying silent so he can jump up out of nowhere when another cliffhanger is needed?

Considering the fight with Teruyama, I don't think Blade should have too much trouble against him. He should still know the Fire absorption part of the Forth Wave and he has Rin's Bionic Compressor which would be enough to put out any fire (although Blade has never used that fragment). Those two fragments put him at a clear advantage over Teruyama, let alone it's 4 vs 1 right now.

Also, this is probably the funniest chapter in a long time. I really liked Solva's joke of doing Magnetic World on Simeon to find their HQ. I also liked Disk's "Rocket Jet Counter Megaton Infinity Range Punch" that finished before she finished saying it's name (I imagine the same thing happens to Setsuna since she travels faster than sound).

Maybe my favorite part of the chapter was page 6 where Cruz is looking up at the sky saying that he's really the "needless" one in a really depressing way. Glad to he has confidence to go with his brains now, by getting past the gatekeepers with his ID card. Wonder what he'll do first in the City.

I don't know you guys, but Teruyama isn't the same almost useless fire needless we knew long ago. He has powered up to the point he's now capable to crush Eve's drill with one single blow. Honestly I don't think Blade will be capable to defeat him, not because Teruyama is stronger but because I'm pretty sure he's not alone. There has to be someone nearby. This is part of a plan carried out by Simeon and the 666 council afterall.

Anyway thanks for the quick translation of some parts, I must admit I find it ironic that both Ann and Cruz defined themselvestrue Needless when in fact they are not in their own way they are great, and sad to think that they think this of themselves. (And for now I count them two separate entities just to be safe).
I must say I love how the author has developed Cruz during the manga true, he dont afragment or high physical strength (for now) but we have to admit that it has become one of the strongest of the group spiritually.
I mean that Cruz in courage and will power as reach Eve and Blade, all three are ready to sacrifice themselves for the people precious to them no matter how much the situation is desperate.

Kinda wondering more and more about what happened to Teruyama after the PF Blast, considering he absolutely hated Simeon before and is now fighting for them, in the City no less. Guess the next chapter will have a lot of action in it.

OK I hate to bring this up, I really do after all the discussions we had over the thing, but I got to bring it back up because its been bugging me all day. The Pill, why?

What was the point of this, and why all the secrecy? We all had different idea's about what it was, and what it did. Now its been said that its a sleeping pill, I would no problem with this, except that it seems that Cruz has been asleep for all of 10 minutes or however long it took for Blade and the others to break through the gate, and escape from the police. If that's a sleeping pill, it is the worst pill in existence. Eve could have knocked him out, and he would have been out longer. If the others didn't want Cruz to go with them during the initial attack, for fear of him getting hurt, they could have just told him to wait, and follow after. The only conclusion I can come to is that either that pill had a secondary effect that we have yet to see, or Cruz is actually a day behind Blade and the others.

The reason I say that is completely based on all the people crowed around the 666 gate, and all of the heavy weapons that have been dispatched to the guards in the gate. Its an incredibly short amount of time for all that to appear, especially if Disk is still standing right by the exit. They even got a Testament in there, how'd that get by the group?I might be way off on all of this, but this is really odd, made all the odder by Mio's disappearance. I can understand her needing to go back because Setsuna called, but if it was known that Cruz would wake up that soon, wouldn't she have waited a few minutes to not only make sure he's ok, but to make sure she going the right way? Any opinions?

And on top of everything the so-called parasite is nothing more nothing less than Eden Seed itself! But it isn't a stigmata but something wholly different... and creepy.

Looking this from a plot perspective, I don't believe Teruyama has returned powered up only to be defeated again. No, he won't be defeated, because the flame needless isn't the weakest anymore. With his fragment power enhanced, the current Teruyama can easily curbstomp Seth, Solva... even Eve!!

So I'm not the only one having these thoughts.
For now we know it's only a sleeping pill, but as you yourself have pointed out is really poor if this its the only function the pill have.
Honestly, the pill and the headaches that Yamada had complained two or 3 ch ago are thing that really bugging me and I hope and I hope we get some answers in the next 2 or 3 ch.
For teruyama I must say I disappointed by him and the face he have on his abdomen are Eden seed I never thought that face was this.

Obsession with gaining power eventually has lead him to a path of no return, where he even dared to join the ranks of Simeon, even though the company is lead by the needless who once slaughtered his former comrades. All this only to gain the power he wanted...!!

Teruyama, if you are one of the main reasons of the tragedy that is about to fall the Resistance, I swear I'll never forgive you. And your current job 2 years after as the gatekeeper of the City doesn't give me any good vibes.

The great thing is ,that Teruyama it's totally blinded by the power he gain(or so it seems), as far I remember he wanted more power for a reason, but apparently he became corrupt like an idiot.
It is interesting that both he and Yamada wanted power, Teruyama wanted more power(and he has been granted it's wish) Yamada want any power not matter what power just to protect those dear to him
. Honestly, from what I see Yamada is stronger than Teruyama beacuse I am sure that he would not be never corrupt by power like Teruyama or for gain the power he wants to sell himself to Simeon.

Pre-PF Zero, his sole motivation seemed to avenge his fallen comrades, and a desire for Blade to acknowledge him as his rival. He wants to defeat him, but that's what every rival wants to do. I'm still of the opinion that he's being influenced by this "Eden Seed" in some way that has yet to be explained. For all we know, he may have been ejected with that seed against his will.

When I say he won't be defeated this time, I mean because by the time Blade steps to face Teruyama, someone will come to his aid. Remember this is just the first stage of a plan Simeon is carrying out.

As for that thing influencing his actions, yeah, you could say he's being influenced... but only because Eden Seed is the source of that power increase he got, he isn't brainwashed or anything of that, he's fully conscious of his actions. I've made my mind and I will say it again: I'll never forgive Teruyama, no matter his reasons and whatever happened to him after the group scattered.

Also, he may have joined Simeon not just because of power but also to have Arclight closer to him, because I don't think he has forgotten what the dictator did to his former comrades. And the best way to kill your enemies is to have them as close as it can be possible.
