This pretty much happened with Snake and Big Boss. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake were going to be Snake's only adventures while Big Boss was supposed to die in the two games. Now with the Phantom Pain Kojima appears to be retconning even more.

PHANTOM PAIN - Metal Gear Solid V
http://www.hybridgames.co.uk/series/...ber2012/week1/ Seems like it's Liquid Snake, but I think not there is no tattoo in the left arm so it could be BigBoss and MGS3 bosses that are in hell.

It turns out there is a dodge move of sort- You can see the player here use it to sidestep swipe-attack all of Bladewolf's moves... Seriously badass
The second half is a glitch from the demo that allows you to venture pass the boss fight.

It isn't a dedicated dodge, hes using the parry ability.
He makes it look really easy but the parry button is also the attack button so it has to be timed perfectly otherwise you just do a standard attack and take the hit from the enemy, when I was doing the same boss fight I was maybe only able to parry 1/3 of enemy attacks I just couldn't get my head around it =/

Yeah, I read on gamefaqs that it's the attack+jump button.

Takes a little getting used to and isn't as easy to pick up and play as bayonetta was but the cutting mechanic is pretty cool and make chaining attacks and finishing with the manual cuts quite satisfying.
One thing that did annoy me though (aside from the parry) was how Raiden repeated the same phrase every time I ripped out an enemies spine which in the middle of a fight with a bunch of cyborgs can be quite grating.

So you can move forward pass the boss fight, but cannot pass the cutscene screen interesting, reminded me of the RE5 bug where you can go through walls.
