AKB fan or not, that trailer has me railed up. The part where they are dodging and throwing bombs is great.

Yeah, but generally "no _____" signs are reserved for things that are allowed in other places -- "no parking" means there's no parking in this place, etc. We don't need "No murder signs" because everyone knows there's no murder allowed anywhere.

anyway that look like Yuko throwing bombs in the trailer. LOL my oshi so badass~ Honestly I don't expect this anime to be super good but the elements involve sound so entertaining and fun that make me curious. It would be interesting to see how this anime will be received. Especially among over sea fans. I know alot of people who only pay attention to anime so through this, maybe Japan can promote more of its music.

The magazine artwork's different from what is actually shown onscreen:

It would be difficult to animate Aachan as close to the concept art.

I remember this character and she look alot like Mariko

But she's not in the dance sequence or seen with the group so far :O

Let me see what I could do; I'm making a cast chart, and will include short bios.

Fact: Some of the seiyuu (Horie, Tamura, and Nakahara) had prior experience in the much-criticized Idolmaster: Xenoglossia spinoff. Hopefully Okada should write the storyline just enough that it's very distinctive from Xenoglossia.

mochichan's rank list is a good starter as this ranking also includes all related sister teams (no counting newly formed HKT and the two oversea teams as these are not active as of that ranking last year.)

Top 30 pretty much got nice exposure right now and are most recognizable to average fans.

Top 12 in Media group are basically household names right now and currently enjoys insane popularity in various field.

Makes sense, as the official roster doesn't seem to have her. Yet there will be real mechanized enemies, as opposed to blowing up stupid rocks in Xeno.

Offtopic: I doubt Aachan's eventual departure being the end of the entire franchise, but otherwise we'll just have to wait and see. Besides, I hope Miyuki gets the portrayal just right and in-character (unlike the AKB49 version which projected Aachan as an aloof MG-style character).

Pretty sure Maeda will be sticking around for the next senbatsu, so she shouldn't be graduating before the first cour ends. I'd be worried for the second season though!

Ah, the joy of adapting a franchise that involves so many different girls and someone who loves trolling as much as Aki-P... it'd almost be disappointing for the anime not to deliver the same amount of trolling.
(It'd also be funny if they decided not to include Mariko because she was the member everyone thought would graduate first...)

BUT DAMN IT THE FANGIRL IN ME IS CRYING SO HARD ;__;

At least Acchan name will live on in this anime..
