Mm... using my IME, and Google, that's what came up when I put "baka" I figured that was the kanji.

EvilEdit: I looked up the kanji, and 馬 does mean horse. But it also has on On reading of バ. Same thing with 鹿. An English translation of 'deer', but a Kun reading of 'か'. So together, 馬鹿 if you only use the sounds ば, and か, in my mind at least means "baka".
