Maddy Candy is my favorite of all the character/insert songs from S1, the live version makes it official.

Asami Sanada performs it pretty much as I anticipated/hoped – in true metal fashion. I like how she came on stage in the costume Sawako wore in the flashbacks.

Good stuff all throughout. Now to wait till I can view this thing in it's entirety.

In these live videos, it sounds like the crowd is made up of only guys. I find this deeply distrubing.

I don't see why that's so surprising. A show about nothing but cute girls will attract guys first and foremost, unless the show is really, REALLY girly (though I think many guys would gladly abandon their manhood for it all the same).

Uh, that's K-ON!!'s target audience in Japan . . . single males with too much disposable income. Typically lonely single males. You know . . . otaku.

K-On also did quite decently in the female demographic. It was second in the Top 10 for females, beating the typical yaoi-fujoshi bait. Still, its a live show with actresses wearing really short skirts, why shouldn't males be the majority of the audience?

Right, but as Saintess said, females be loving that Mitsu and MugiVision stuff too. Probably even more than the "girly stuff" in the show.
