Another thing that is kind of weird for me is in episode 1. Where Nene's father just gave her away for marriage base on the looks of Sagara. Is that considered normal back then?

I believe it was her grandfather (who adopted Nene). He is a bit unsound in mind, to say the least.

Sengoku (Past) 04 - The Battle of the Mountain(s) of Okehazama (That Wasn't In the Game)

Really, really nice episode this week. Yoshiharu isn't a ninja or a samurai or anything other than a video game nerd, but it makes him a great strategizer. Not bad with the quips either. ("Then I'll just pretend I never saw you!") to Hanzo. I also enjoyed the conversation between him and Dousan about how he is changing the future, and what effect his knowledge of another time is having on this world. He didn't seem to care that much at first, so it's nice to see him thinking through what he's doing.

Once the battle actually got started, the animation was gorgeous. All the camera angles and the music, it really made for something exciting to watch. And the conclusion of the battle... boob touching for great justice! Yoshimoto, too, will live to see another day. I wonder where this will lead. (Otome's Yoshimoto living led to a yuri-tastic play down the line, but that's somewhat less likely to happen here.)

Nobuna with hurt feelings, now that's an interesting sight.
Monkey was feeling sorry for himself.
At least he had support to try and fix things he messed up.
Even Nobuna's brother came to help out.
That kid sure was useless in a fight...
He ought to get some training since he's already in the past.
Nobuna's surprise attack was pretty awesome!
This a pretty good episode. Wish there were more of those.

This episode was very impressive, more good episodes is coming. So far this show has blown all expectations. Good use of music, Drama, and a little mix of supernatural with the Ninja. Action and Battle was really exciting. I was impress when they actually did with the Atsumori. Oda Nobunaga actually sang the Atsumori a lot in history, it really makes you feel connected to Japan's culture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atsumori_(play)

A good episode, got action, more history lesson and real ninjas.
Nice action scene near the end, was hoping to see more but looks like they cleaned them up pretty fast.
So Sagara going to keep every cute girl alive, enemy or not... Looks like he got a harem setting up.

It is really impressive how good this episode is. The camera angles looked very good. Letting Imagawa live is also a history changing. She appears to be a tsundere, the harem is looking like it is starting. Vol 1 is over, now episode 5 is heading into vol 2.

Need we say it again?

Oda Nobuna no Yabo has my vote for Best Anime for this season. Even watching Sword Art Online doesn't get me this excited, but it comes close sometimes. In SAO's case, it's living up to the hype it recieved. For ONnY, it's surprassing everything everyone's thrown at it. If there are others that are hating on this show, they just need to die - horribly.

I loved every moment of this episode, especially the battle. Such fluid animation...and amazing shots! Whoever did the storyboards for this deserves a medal!

When Nobuna called the charge, I was half expecting a 'LET'S PARTY GUYS!!' (Sengoku Basara) to come out of her mouth. Of course, Katsuie was BADASS but Nagahide was a bit of a surprise despite seeing a preview of her skills in the opening. Maeda (Inchiyo) and Goemon were two loli terrors in that fight. And Goemon's crew being her fanboys was awesome. There's so much that was good about this episode that I can't even list them all. Go watch it for yourself if you haven't already!!
