To Aru ... Fanfiction Discussion Thread

Cool on the story above, plus the fact that Of Science and Magics is a personal favorite of mine and I really do hope that Of Science and Magics will update again soon.

But onto other fun news...

I have complete chapter 1 of my TAMnI fic which will be entitled "A Certain Date Auction" until further notice.

I have given the story to one beta already and I'm currently waiting for the other person I hope to use as a beta gives the okay that they can beta.

So hopefully we'll see it up within 2 weeks >.> Can't say how long it'll take.

is science and magic fanfic really that good? I stay away from fanfic with ToumaxMikoto tagged in it. It's really tiring for me.

I don't really mind any Toumax???? pairings (so long as its not Yaoi) but the reason why I find Of Science and Magic so entertaining, is that there's no other story like it in the net. Maybe its just that the current plot development has me impatient for more since I have no idea what can possibly happen in the future...

With the way things are in the To Aru Majutsu no Index fan fiction archive... the ones I'm really looking forward to is Minds, Memories and Misfortune and Of Science and Magic. The two stories however doesn't look like it's going to update anytime soon due to certain circumstances...

Not sure when or if this idea will ever materialize, but I thought about an AU where Academy City takes over the world Code Geass style.

Just that in this case we would have esper abilities instead of the Geass.

If you guys determine to pair up Saiai with someone else other than Hamazura, rather than fall back on Touma again, why not use Accelerator? At least they had met once and she is technically one of his 'daughters' as well.

Starts off cutesy with Touko/Touma, along with Last Order and Touko becoming Accelerator's spiritual equal in loliconing. Would love to see a Touko/Accelerator scene, maybe during the cooling-off chapter. Maybe they are hallmates. Touma visits Touko, and Accelerator wandered in the hall after X and sees that because of Touma's fukou da.

Anyways, back on track...

Then Kakine arrives. Perfect entry and totally in-character. Had a laugh when not sooner did his ego-stroking verbal masturbation get interrupted by Touko's pawnch, he tries again to boast only for Accelererator to cut him off again. Had a laugh at that.

Wow. Out of all the deaths Kakine could have gotten, getting double-teamed by black-wings Accelerator and MOTHEFUCKING DRAGON TOUKO has to be the worst. Not disappointed. NO FRIDGE FOR YOU!

Ah, but for some reason DRAGON was meh - weak. I would have expected the thing that made Fiamma shit his pants to automatically wreak Academy City in a move. I guess we only saw 1/1000th of the true power because Touko still tried to limit It?

And yeah, so many FEELS all-around. Too many to name, though Touko's memories about Mikoto that lead her to snapping pulled my heartstrings. Suddenly I want to brutally murder Superman because of the whole "crushed Mikoto's head with a mace nonchallantly" thing. Can't wait for the flashback for that fun. Oh Acqua, you didn't know what you were fucking with. Now feed the DRAGON.

Touko+Accel scenes are planned. How and when, I'll keep it for the actual chapter

Touko's dragonform being weak... Do note that Touko's right hand haven't been cut off here, hence limited power and still stuck in physical form instead of spiritual invisible herald of DOOM and Armageddon.

By the way, this might lower the high but... did I ever explicitly state "This character is dead"? They fall down, they stop moving... but in no way they are dead =P
Mikoto in flashback and Kakine here isn't dead... yet. I've played the same trick on LO already in this chapter, thought it would have been found out by now ^^;

I'll admit this is just ass-pull in a sense for Kakine, keeping him for fridge possibility later on. Accel pulped Kakine in LN canon and the fridge was still available as a option.

Mikoto on the other hand... oh, I have plans alright. Heartrending plans where being one-hit-killed by Acqua might have been a mercy - for BOTH Touko and Mikoto. Mikoto lived through that encounter, but make no mistake that was in anyway a good thing. I have (had? temporal narrative and all) a Bad End in the making here, and I take a perverse pleasure in breaking Touko in her backstory.

I'm tempted to throw in fem!Accel's backstory next chapter too. Drama and pain, let them flow
