I thought that too when I kept seeing it in the ED. When it actually happened in the episode, and I saw the red tinge on the whips, I knew who it was immediately.

. Pretty much thinking "Doctor Octopus!? What are they going to have a Spiderman appearance in this?" Still with the appearance of Omega Red there is no doubt that Logan is going to be busy.

It's a Wolverine anime, it will be more Xmen and Wolverine based villains. That's why from the opening alone when I saw those tentacles I knew Omega Red will be there another strong villain that Wolverine cannot beat that easily. Sabertooth though at the ED I dunno why is he there....

I'll be damned if I see Bruce Banner or the Hulk make an omake appearance here.

True, will say I'm less familiar with the large selection of Xmen villains so didn't recognize Omega Red. I mean metallic tentacles just screamed Doctor Octopus though I couldn't understand why he'd be there. Since Wolverine did barge into Iron Man for an episode I wouldn't be surprised by anyone that might show up for a cameo.

Omega Red is like... third tier in popularity. That's why so few people thought of him when we saw the tendrils. That, and there was no power behind them, and they were acting like tentacles instead of whips.

X-Men is the next season's show, so they'd likely be the ones to cameo.

Kikyo's mutant powers though remind me of the Xmen Wolverine Origins Deadpool/Baraka.

Though here he was done nicely. Can't wait to see Wolverine and Omega Red duke it out again. In the comics and cartoons Logan can't easily beat Omega Red. Man that was nostalgic. Gotta wonder if Logan will ever don again the yellow spandex? Probably unlikely since his design is movie based so it's more on his casual badass look.

This is one reason why I can't forget Omega Red. This capcom game!

I really hope he doesn't. I hate that costume so much. It makes no sense at all. It doesn't represent England, Canada, Japan, or America, and it certainly doesn't look like a Wolverine. If he wears a costume, ever, it should be his brown and gold outfit. At least that looks more like a Wolverine.

It started off slow but the action just keeps picking up. They kind of hold back on the violence. I guess it airs at an earlier time slot,. DTB and FMA got away with a lot. . . It's not like you can't get away with violence on Japanese TV.

Omega Red, Madripoor, Cyclops, the X-Jet. . .

Why didn't the Iron Man anime have more of the recognizable stuff in it?

Anyhow, Omega Red was pretty well known in the 1990s because of the Fox cartoon and the MvC fighting games.

I think Ironman didn't have enough recognizable or nostalgic characters because it's a movie based anime. It's like before the Ironman 2 movie. One reason it's only the Mark.3 Tony's using one reason why it's weak compared to Ironman Dio.
