But sadly, I am a very plot oriented reader/watcher, and unless the author ups his plot game (no, shipping doesn't count as plot, UNLESS we have some conspiracy behind it) then I dont think I can follow IS for long.

Again, I'm still not sure whether or not the rehashing harem plot is entirely the Author's idea or the publisher telling him to keep giving "The Fans" (Read: What the publishers think sells) what they want...

I think it's mostly the author's idea though. I mean, even with the harem shipping, you can still put more plot into it, but the fact that we are entering into the loop of tournament gets interrupted, new girl appears, gets smitten was pretty much the formula for all 7 volumes.

And with Tabane's daughter, count that as another possible love interest for ichika. >_>

I got nothing to add for the latest novel currently, except Squall's name: スコール・ミューゼル
I choose 'Squall" as from the weather, because there are people with 'season' in their name. For 'Müsel', it's from the character Reinhard von Müsel, aka Reinhard von Lohengramm from LOGH. The Japanese spelling is the same. Oh, and his flagship is Brunhilde :P

Terrifying to think what an armed squad with custom-designed IS could possibly do. And given that save for Charlotte few of the girls with Ichika actually have any extensive experience with team play....this can't be good, at least not until they shape up.

I also think it's Squall, since the kanji for her name also means downpour. Unless there's other word in another language with similar means and pronunciation, I'll settle with Squall on my translation.

It was already established back in Laura's arc that high skill with an IS != great strategist. I've got to read through the Tatenashi chapters to see how good she is at tactics/strategy before I can judge. Power isn't everything in a duel.
