Chap 372.

"Always check the source." - Words to live by I guess this concludes the confession micro-arc? Hayate is such a heartbreaker.

I always forget that Maria isn't much older than the rest of the female cast.

Hooo... Hamster's so far impeccable rating with me got some major scratches in the last 2 chapters. That was a little bit low...

I find it interesting how Ayumu has reacted so negatively toward Ruka. On one hand, I'd say it sort of fits, given that she's the normal girl, whereas Ruka is an idol. The lack of reaction from the other girls is understandable, since they're all outstanding on several aspects, and thus they've got nothing to envy. But, then again, Ayumu has never really reacted this negatively to the other girls, even though they're geniuses, rich and beautiful. Some of them are idols in some respects, like Hinagiku in the Academy. But well, that could be because she's friends with all of them. I had forgot she still had a love/hate relationship with Nagi until the Greece arc. I wonder if her disapproval of Ruka actually is due to her idol status and not simply because she's a stranger to her.

Anyhow, "The!!" ... "End!!". Now that was some funny shit.

All's fair in love and war. Ayumu did a nice move, I would say.

In a way she wasn't exactly wrong- A confession would never penetrate Hayate's thick skull, living with so many beautiful girls of all ages and nothing happens? Clearly you're gonna need more firepower.

A-tan had the right idea of just kiss him damnit

And Mr. Misunderstanding strikes again! Nice choice of words, Hayate-san.

I wonder what the "new development" of the next chapter would be...

Note: the "mature woman" is upset. LOL
Cmon guys! She is just twe... I mean... seventeen!

Whether Ruka's efforts succeed or not is irrelevant. It was kind of underhanded for Ayumu to discourage Ruka through half-truths like that. Didn't Ayumu confess to Hayate herself? Why can't she allow Ruka to do the same?

and Hayate rejected her, Ayumu's motivation is wrong but her advice was right.

Her advice would be right if it was "that wouldn't work, so try something better," but instead she basically implied "that wouldn't work, so don't bother at all".

I don't think Ayumu's intention was ever to give advise to Ruka, but to discourage her from confession. That said, though, it was Hayate's own actions what ended up discouraging her in the end. All the same, that probably was a good (unintentional) jab at Ayumu as well.

Whatever the next chapter's "new development" is, I hope it's good. After a spurt of movement on the central mystery (and even a mention of Himegami), things have fallen back down to harem antics. I suppose I wouldn't mind if I found them funny, but I don't. IMHO harem antics have never been one of this title's strengths.

Yeah, I suppose I would've been one of those people who got Playboy for the articles. Whatever . . .

it doesn't matter how many girls falls for Hayate.... A-tan will be the winner... xD xD xD

I love Ruka's counterattack... it's just strange that Ayumu support Hina but doesn't support Ruka... maybe it's because Ruka already have everything... xD

For a moment it almost sounded like Ayumu was implying that Hayate swings the other way.

It isn't strange. Ayumu and Hina were very close friends before Hina told Ayumu she also loved Hayate. Furthermore, Hina supported Ayumu despite her own feelings, and thus, after Ayumu learned of Hina's feelings for Hayate, she decided to cheer for her as well.

Ayumu has no relationship with Ruka whatsoever. However, unlike the other girls, Ruka is an idol and allegedly very pretty. So, it isn't weird Ayumu feels threatened by Ruka.

I'm sure she'll change her mind about Ruka once she learns how much of a hard-worker Ruka is (this is, of course, assuming Ayumu ever gets to know that much).

He did tell her he only liked 2D girls. (That's the other other way.)
