room of a witch from the Mediaeval times.

The master of the room watched the display and exuded a soliloquy.
In the tenebrosity, there was a face that floated dimly. Shinono Tabane's.
"Nevertheless, I didn't expect for all Golem III to be destroyed"
Whirring noise mingled with humming, she was tampering with IS Cores
Unregistered cores. In other words, newly made cores were all from Tabane. -Only Tabane is able to create IS cores-
"Well, IS was originally made to be ride by human so it can draw out it's maximum power, it can't be helped that Unmanned units have lower battle capacity"
Technology to Unman the IS. This is also Tabane ----- and Tabane only possesses this skill.
If this is to be made public, it wil cause an uproar.

Suddenly, she remembered something.
It was triffling at first, but when she thought about it carefully, the coherency matched

Like a child who had just came out with a new prank, her face bore an innocent ill-intention.
While Tabane was being frolic, a little girl came into the room.
Short in stature, she's quite slender. Her age is about 12, or at least how she looked.
But what was eye-catching was her hair; Flowing silver hair, down to her waist with thickly braided.
By the bye, if one is to wonder why braided? Because Tabane did so.
For the girl, Tabane weights more than the whole world.
Words such as "Life Patron" or "The Savior" are not enough. From the day she met her, she swore to serve Tabane forever.
"Tabane-sama"
"Hey hey Kuu Chan. What's wrong?"
"I've burnt the bread"
Saying that, the girl nervously hold out the tray.

More than half of the bread were pitch black, but there was Tabane with her eyes lighted up.

In all honesty, it was not the girl's original intention to entertain Tabane with this pauperized cooking.
But, "It is bad if a girl can't remember a single cooking" were Tabane words and she abided to them.
Everyday she made this and that, cinders and gel.
Tabane, without a single face of displeasure, she ate them, and ate, and ate.
Repeating the word "Delicious" for several times, instead of feeling happy, it became a feeling of unpardonable for the girl.

The girl who've been called then raised her face.
Her eyes were always closed since she entered the room. But because of a peculiarity possesed by the girl, it doesn't matter if she
has a field of vision or not.

I wonder what will Houki's reaction face be if she accidentally meets Kuu-chan and Kuu-chan equally parenthetically call her Oba-sama

I need to remind you that I'm neither English nor Japanese major. The choices and arrangement of words are arbitrarily by me. I may have cut corner (or sentence :P) in translating, but I hope the message is sent

Spoiler for My final thought:

May be Tabane sent her to give birthday cake to Chifuyu? Her sister's birthday was on vol 03 and Ichika was on vol 06.

I did the translation while looping 3 Gundam UC's ED Theme and Houki's character song. I don't know why but tears were suddenly accumulated at some point . May be I'll feel sad easily these days because of Moshidora novel

As crazy as Tabane is, I really hope she, Houki, their original parents, and the latest addition to their family, Kuu-chan will get a happy ending. Not just them, other characters too, including Ichika
Well, Kuu-chan has silver hair, and something happened to her eyes. I'm sure you can relate this to one of the harem member

Very easy. It's the one of the only novels that I don't bother skip some lines because the vocabulary is very familiar (though I read them in Chinese). I can not say the same thing for the -monogatari series.

Hmmm.... 2 years should be enough as long as you already learned some basic kanji and grammar. IS is one of the easy LN to read, on par with baka to test. There's a lot of dialogue too. Why don't you give it a try? It might help with your Japanese learning too if you find some vocabulary you haven't learn ^_^

I tried reading LN's and some online stories (The Aquarian Age online stories, for example) through an auto-translator before, but they made my head hurt--I'm just too ingrained in reading proper english to be able to read word-for-word machine translations.

Hell, I still have a copy of the translated Fafner LN, and it's just a bit too disjointed for me.

Baka-Tsuki at least keeps most of the original meaning intact--not the same as a proper translation, but pretty good IMHO. I've read their Index translations, so I'm kind of sticking to them.

My knowledge of written japanese extends solely to katakana and some simple kanji, that's it. Trying to learn it, but haven't the cash to pay for a proper short course in the language.

My knowledge of written japanese extends solely to katakana and some simple kanji, that's it. Trying to learn it, but haven't the cash to pay for a proper short course in the language.
