I thought this week's episode was quite good, it definitely shed some light towards characters that I been hoping to hear from more (i.e. Urahara and Mayuri)!

Maybe it's just me or my curiosity but, I'm still wondering what Shinji meant when Aizen asked, "since when did you notice?" Shinji then replied, "ever since you were in your mom's belly." Do keep in mind that the quotes I wrote may not be word-for-word, but it was definitely somewhere along those lines. I may just be thinking about it too much.

Can't wait for next week's episode though!

I enjoyed every minute of the talk at which Urahara engaged Mayuri.

Spoiler:

It was tense and a little bit not faint for the heart.

Urahara explained that no Shinigami is able to resign from the Gotei 13, because the Seireitei cannot accept elements deemed incompatible to be set scot-free.

The Maggot's Nest is the special detention facility which provides a relatively, healthy environment for those misfits and, at the same time, are kept locked and under surveillance.

However, Mayuri was a special case. He was deemed too particularly dangerous, that he had to be kept separate from the other inmates, and thus got his own private cell.

Judging Mayuri's first negative reply after hearing Urahara's proposal spoke volumes about his character, which I have evidence for when Urahara finally is able to appeal to Mayuri by ending his proposal that should the latter (Urahara) dies he'll (Mayuri) succeed him as the next President of the Technical Bureau Department, meaning all would be his.

Mayuri at first did not want to give in to Urahara's proposal, because I believe he loathed the idea of working under someone's else shadow. In summary, Mayuri wishes to establish his own genius by his efforts in order to be acknowledged, as someone better and capable above and beyond anyone else; he wishes to be nobody's lackey.

The whole conversation behind the cell reminded closely to the "Silence of the Lambs".

Mayuri is cuckoo from the perspective of an average person, but he holds to be a professional scientist, and as such views everything (himself included) as specimens for his experiments.

Mayuri values courtesy and manners right after his curiosity, hence, he turns deaf ears and overlooks anyone who behaves like a wild-monkey, paying no attention at all to others he views as small ants or act rude toward him.

Furthermore, if Mayuri mocks or abhors such things as sense of honor, morality, and other types of ethics that's because from his own P.O.V. everyone acts scandalous and makes such a racket around when he transgresses those ideals; Mayuri prefers to work on his experiments in peaceful silence, but at the same time not having his intellect insulted.

Makes me wonder just how far Byakuya shoved Senbonzakura up his arse just to be the Kuchiki family head and 6th Division Captain; It appears he's always been arrogant but never as uptight as he currently is...

Uuuh...he blew up his subordinates, conducted possibly illegal experiments on bounto (since he had their record),questioned a member of a different division (Ikkaku) and he was poaching quincys

Before his fight with Ishida, in order to trap Inoue he sent someone to go get her and blew him up shortly afterwards.
He was also in the medical relief center after Ichigo beat Ikkaku and was about to hurt him just as Zaraki stopped his arm, plus he had hunted and killed another 2k Quincys, and with Ishida being one of the few quincy left alive, he is an endangered species!

Haven’t posted in a while, but is it fair to say there is a movement that would rather watch this than REAL Bleach episodes? Aizen and company as cubs is far more interesting than the Shinobu Sensui Plan (YYH) that Aizen is currently doing in the REAL eps…I’m so interested in the SS backstory characters (Minus that annoying damn VC girl of course)…

This is all real too ya know, and since it exceeds your casual lifetime flashback (Renji-Rukia style) and reveals many important parts of the plot, it's the most interesting part of bleach ever to be released.

I'm so freaking late for fangirling but as the highlight of the ep was shota bya, it would kinda be a sin for me to miss a chance for squealing. So *squeeeeeeal*

Other than that, Aizen is a pussy who I'd totally want to pet.

Hmm, thought these were just high-level fill eps…In any event they’re good…Was kinda mad they made Uraharra look like a goofball loser, but they made up for it when they showed his real skills…

Just because there's a Japanese motif in the Soul Society doesn't mean all the Soul Reapers are Japanese, no more than the Spanish motif in Hueco Mundo doesn't mean all the hollow are Spanish...

A motif is a recurring theatrical element, not a literalization...

Let me clarify Mr. Noname bad repper...I didn't know that this arc was a manga arc...I thought that they were just REALLY GOOD original eps to bridge the current situation of Aizen invading the real world...But I hate saying the word "filler" (because of what's associated with that), so I said eps to fill time...So it was just a question of semantics, and you bad repped me for nothing (Not that my 6 dots really giva dang)...
